In 1978, Porsche unveiled their latest iteration of the 911 model equipped with a more reliable aluminum engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Dubbed SC, or “Super Carrera”, this model would help reinvigorate and ultimately solidify the 911 as a mainstay in Porsche’s lineup. Having spent most of its life in the state of Washington, this unique 1982 911 SC Targa is now being offered for auction. Featuring a paint-to-sample exterior and classic Porsche styling, this solid example shows 139,528 miles on the odometer and is ready to be enjoyed its next owner.
Finished in gorgeous paint-to-sample Mercedes Maritime Blue with gold accents, this SC is sure to turn some heads. This very unique color shows beautifully with age appropriate chips on the front fascia. This 911 rides on pristine Fuchs style wheels that are wrapped in Continental tires. The iconic H-4 headlights look fantastic and the Targa top remains in excellent shape.
Inside, this 911 SC sports a largely original beige interior. The factory equipped Sport Seats have truly stood the test of time, bearing no major imperfections or excessive wear. All electrical systems including the power windows and instrument cluster are in proper working order. Apart from some minor warping, the dashboard in this car is in good shape and appears to be original. As for modifications, an aftermarket radio is installed, a strut bar has been fitted in the trunk to improve handling, and the A/C has been deleted for weight saving measures.
Receiving a durable aluminum engine block as well as Bosch fuel injection, the SC generation came with some key technical improvements over its predecessor. This 1982 SC features a healthy 3.0-liter flat-six engine, which sends 201hp to the rear wheels via manual 5-speed transmission. This car retains its factory equipped sport suspension and limited slip differential. A previous owner had performance cams as well as SSI headers and exhaust installed, increasing power and enhancing the exhaust note. An extensive service totaling over $3,000 has recently been completed and the car is said to drive perfectly.
Included in the sale of this superb 1982 SC Targa is the tool kit as well as an entire binder full of documentation and records. The communication between the original owner and Porsche specifying how he wanted the car configured is also included in this documentation. A clean Carfax report confirms that this 3-owner car has been well maintained and accident free. Do not miss your opportunity to own this unique 1982 SC Targa.

@ERLY911 Hi, the wheels are maxilite fuch reps. And the paint is presented as a nice driver, there are some "stains" .
@JNasty The compressor has been removed, lines are present as well as hvac system. I dont know if you driven a 911SC but the AC is the worst AC in the history of AC's, its dead weight and problematic for no reason. I've spent upwards of $5K trying to make it work on a previous personal car and its was pointless.
Are these the original Fuchs or are they reproductions? Also, what flaws exist in the finish? I saw this car at an event and seem to recall that there is some paint issues.
Beautiful color combination!!
Are the removed AC components still present? Was just the compressor removed? Or other items too?
This color combo is so interesting. Beautiful build
