Succeeding the 02 Series upon its debut in 1975, the BMW E21 represents the brand’s original 3-Series compact executive car. Finished in Hennarot over a beige vinyl interior, this 1981 example is a non-sunroof 320i model equipped with a fuel-injected 1.8-liter M10 inline-four engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, power-assisted front disc brakes, air conditioning, and 13” Turbine wheels. It shows registration history in California, Texas, Kansas, and Tennessee before moving to Florida in 2023. Recently serviced by an authorized BMW dealer, this 320i is now being offered for auction with approximately 186k miles showing on the odometer.
This non-sunroof E21 is finished in Hennarot (052) and features quad headlamps, front kidney grilles, bright silver bumper and window trim, pop-out rear quarter windows, and 13” Turbine wheels with a matching trunk-mounted spare. The car rides on Kumho Solus KR21 tires with 2021 production date codes. The seller notes the exterior was likely refinished under prior ownership and remains in excellent condition apart from a few imperfections as depicted in the photo gallery. Detailed images are provided along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with beige vinyl upholstery and matching carpets. Accessories include front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, three-point seatbelts, a black four-spoke steering wheel, manual roll-up windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, a rear window defroster, and an aftermarket Continental radio. The seller notes the air conditioning system has been updated to use R134a refrigerant and the coolant temperature gauge works intermittently.
Equipped with a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, the 1.8-liter M10B18 inline-four engine delivers up to 101 HP and 100 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes rack and pinion steering, a MacPherson strut front suspension, semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension, and power-assisted front disc brakes. Service records show the thermostat and temperature sensor were replaced by a BMW dealer in 2025 and the warmup regulator was cleaned in 2023 along with the installation of a new fuel pump and spark plugs.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.
