The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55, produced from 1967 to 1980 as part of the 50 series and commonly called the “Iron Pig,” is known for its rugged durability, practical design, and enduring popularity. Powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, this 1980 example was imported to the U.S. from Yemen in 2024. It is refinished in two-tone brown and white over a reupholstered gray interior and features twin headlamps, a front crosshatch grille, a roof rack, 16” steel wheels, an AM radio, power steering, and more. This J55 Land Cruise is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia.
Built primarily from steel, the FJ55 boasts a boxy, utilitarian design with a short front overhang and a durable underbody. This example was refinished in a two-tone brown and white after its importation to the U.S. in 2024. Notable exterior features include twin headlamps, a front crosshatch grille, fender-mounted side mirrors and turn signals, a roof rack, and ambulance-style rear cargo doors. It rides on gray-finished 16” steel wheels wrapped in new M7 tires. Imperfections are noted by the seller, and detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior features a front bench and a foldable rear bench reupholstered in gray vinyl, complemented by a recently added black vinyl floor mat. It has crank windows, a black padded instrument panel, an AM radio, and fold-down jump seats in the cargo area. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.
Power comes from a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six engine, which delivers a factory-rated 125 HP and 200 lb.-ft of torque to the rear or all four wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It has front and rear semi-elliptic leaf springs, while drum brakes facilitate stopping power to all four corners. A power steering system was added under current ownership, at which time the struts were replaced. Additionally, a tune-up was performed in 2024, which included the replacement of the ignition coil and the spark plugs and the flushing of the radiator.

Good morning this fj55 was imported from inland yemen a very dry climate only places that has bondo is outer body it had minor dents and scratches before we repainted it and it is minimal inside floor was wear on paint so we repainted also minimal bondo nothing where we had to repair rust holes. It didn't have other then wear on floor surfaces. If any questions please feel free to ask.
