Seizing an opportunity to capitalize on the 924’s exceptional handling characteristics, Porsche introduced a high-performance Turbo version in 1978 that went on to rival some of the most expensive and powerful sports cars in the world. This 1980 example was originally configured for delivery in California and comes finished in Diamond Silver Metallic over a black leather interior. It was optioned with electric mirrors, a removable sunroof, a rear window wiper, and air conditioning. This 924 Turbo was acquired by the current owner in 2022 and has since undergone extensive service including timing belt replacement, new Koni shock absorbers, tires, and ignition components. Showing under 21k miles on the odometer, this 924 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
Compared to a standard 924, the Turbo model features a row of vertical cooling slits above the front bumper as well as a NACA-ducted hood and black polyurethane rear spoiler. This example is finished in the Audi-derived color of Diamond Silver Metallic (Z4) and rides on a factory 5-bolt 16” alloy wheels dressed in new Hankook RS4 tires. The seller describes the car to be very well preserved overall, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in premium black leather upholstery and includes matching carpet floor mats, air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, a removable sunroof panel, an electric antenna, and a 4-speaker sound system featuring an original Blaupunkt cassette stereo. The 924 Turbo shares its three-spoke leather steering wheel with the 911 and equips a suite of VDO instrumentation including a clock and oil pressure gauge in the center console. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
Featuring a K26 turbocharger, the water-cooled 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine produces up to 150 HP and 152 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Compared to that of a standard 924, the Turbo chassis includes Koni shock absorbers, front and rear stabilizer bars, ventilated disc brakes, and an auxiliary oil cooler. Service completed by the current owner in the last year includes replacement of the timing belt and downpipe wastegate, spark plugs, ignition cap/rotor, new adjustable Koni yellow shocks, all new fluids, windshield wipers, and a wheel alignment. A slight oil leak is noted from the turbocharger.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals and toolkit, a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, and a clean title.

If anyone has any questions let me know.
@eurocol I always It replace timing belts on cars that I buy because this is a very simple and cheap thing to do to make sure you have no issues. The only reason I'm selling this car is because I have too many and I will be out of the country this year a lot.
Bid in the amount of $9,500
I like and am interested in this car,
but am confused, and a little put off as to why I it has sold twice before on BAT,
each time new shocks and timing belt are mentioned,
and again this auction, with receipts for these items,
so it has been auctioned off 3 times in as many years,
with new shocks and timing belt each time????
So seller are you RCK on BAT
and ARM here??

@Cytoboy Yes all of the paint is original and there are no accidents or damage. No corrosion or rust. The only oil leak is a very small oil league at the turbo. The car has no other issues and everything has been fixed and serviced. The car is amazing to drive and still smells new.
@Tirefriar I have all records for this car and with the conditional of the car it is very obvious that the cars odometer has not rolled over. Yes a smog certificate will be included.
Bid in the amount of $5,000
Greetings: Thanks in advance for your time answering my questions:
1. Is all paint original?
2. Has the car been in an accident?
3. Any known corrosion?
4. Besides the oil leak, are there any known issues that deserve service?
Thanks again for your time.
@seller The odo is 5 digit. What documentation is available to prove that the mileage shown is actual and not that the odo has not been rolled over? Will a valid smog certificate be available at the time of the sale? Thanks
