This Canadian-market 1980 Porsche 911SC Coupe is the subject of a recent bare metal Carrera RS-style restoration featuring steel 911 Turbo fender flares, a ducktail spoiler, and a custom blue leatherette RS-style interior. It also includes two sets of sport seats, aluminum Rennline accessories, a JWest RennShift short shifter, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, Bilstein shocks, a Fabspeed carbon fiber air intake, SSI heat exchangers, a Dansk exhaust, new transmission gears, and a rebuilt 3.0-liter engine with upgraded 964 cams. This painstakingly restored and customized RS tribute is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
This 911SC was reportedly stripped to bare metal and fitted with wide 911 Turbo steel fender flares, bumpers, and rockers. The car is finished in white and decorated with blue Carrera RS-style side decals, a Turbo front chin spoiler, and a fiberglass RS-style ducktail rear spoiler. New taillights, indicators, and bulbs were installed and the headlights have been cleaned, polished, and covered with protective film. The seller indicates the body and paintwork were completed by Concept 1 in 2017, the front-end and sides are covered in paint protection film, and the full exterior is treated with a ceramic coating. The car rides on Turbo-spec 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels mounted with OEM Turbo spacers. A set of new Toyo Poxes Sport rides was installed in late 2023 with less than 600 miles driven since.
The cabin has been redone with blue leatherette upholstery, RS-style door panels, and a pair of custom racing bucket seats with Pascha cloth inserts. The blue carpeting was installed in 2017 and the center console was removed to expose the shifter mechanism for a race-inspired look. An additional set of sport seats in matching upholstery will be provided along with the original door panels. Accessories include a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, rebuilt gauges with black aluminum trim, a JWest RennShift short shifter, a wood 917-style gear knob, checkered coco floor mats, and Rennline aluminum floorboards, pedals, switches, track mats, and door lock hardware. The sound system also features a Continental Bluetooth stereo with Helix speakers and a new amplifier. All gauges and accessories are said to be functional including the power windows, mirrors, and sunroof.
The car’s fuel-injected 3.0-liter flat-six engine was rebuilt by Riegel Motorsports in 2020 with ported and polished heads, upgraded 964 cams, SSI heat exchangers, a Dansk 2x2 muffler, and a Fabspeed carbon fiber air intake. A claimed output of 187 WHP is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual transaxle that received a new gear and pinion set in 2020. The suspension has also been upgraded with Bilstein shocks and a Rennline front strut tower brace. The seller adds that routine oil changes have been performed and a collection of service records is included.
This sale will include an additional set of seats, the original door cards, and a clean title.

Congrats @ Andersenrandy!!
I was hoping to keep the car north of the border, but your USD’s are too strong to compete with :)
Enjoy in good health.
The "cooler" of the Canadian market listing.
I have to admit it deterred me from bidding.
I think this found fair value at $85K but had it been listed in San Francisco, I have to think that simple geographic difference would have made a world of difference.
@autosportclassic. Very good. Please feel free to reach out to me so we can figure out how to get this car all the way to S Georgia. Thank you!
Congrats I need one of these in my garage

Man, these are the Porsches that most people dream of I know I certainly do
The RS look simple, clean exterior and interior and a beefed up Porsche motor. What a great combo.
Personally, I could live without the design of the seat fabric but that’s just me
Wondering, not that my budget would allow me to seriously consider bidding, but from here in California, I don’t see a smog pump or any cats probably not California emissions compliant as is correct
What a great build. Congratulations guys sure it will do well here in the next few hours.
Good luck all
@group911 They are Turbo Fuchs, I believe they are 9" in the rear and 7" in the front. Thanks!
I don't see it mentioned but it appears it has 9" Fuchs in the rear. Nice. Can't tell it the fronts are 8 or 7's
7 hours left of this auction! Please let us know if there are any further questions. This SC is an absolutely wonderful build with approximately $80k USD invested into it. We are so excited for this car to go to a new home, it is an incredible experience to drive and look at. Please do not hesitate to reach out regarding any further inquiries. Happy bidding!

@Andersenrandy Regarding the trunk, we will also try our best to get further photos. You can see a bit further on the sides in image 165. Again as the car is in storage now it is difficult to get more photos but we will try to get them well before auction end. Thank you.
@Andersenrandy Unfortunately it is very difficult to sell if the seats are genuine or aftermarket, they came with the car (alongside the second set of seats) when our client purchased it. We are trying very hard to get build photos but we are having difficulty contacting the previous owner. I will keep everyone posted as I know it is something people would like to see. I hope this answers your questions, please do let us know if there is anything else you need!

@NEUNLFER We are still waiting to hear back regarding photos. Unfortunately the current owner only has one but the car is already done in this photo, it simply has some differences compared to the car now. Nevertheless, we will upload it as it shows the car's history. Regarding the cold start video, we are trying our best. The car is in storage and it's difficult to take it out but perhaps by today I can have something to share. Thank you!
What is the brand of the racing bucket seats currently in the car? I too would be interested in any pictures of the paint and body work done on this car. I hope you are able to locate them. Thank you for all your hard work in representing this car.
@ Autosportclassic, any luck sourcing those paint and body pictures from the previous owner?
Cold start video?
Thanks again.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I have looked at pictures 98-104 a few times. I was hoping to get some pictures with all the carpeting out - on the sides and front. I am sure things are nice, clean and tiding but I like to look at things like that.
@Andersenrandy We will try to find the cig lighter however our client uses the socket for a voltmeter which is why it is currently missing. It is a very inexpensive part if the winning bidder wishes to purchase it- I believe around $60. And there actually is a spare tire, it will be put back into the trunk. Apologies for the discrepancy. Thanks!
@Andersenrandy No worries at all! For the trunk, please see images 98-104. We have photos without the carpet showing underneath. The car does not have a spare tire. Absolutely everything is working, we have checked everything. I will confirm if we have the cig lighter as during the time of shooting the vehicle it was not in the car. We will get back to you shortly. If you have any further questions please let us know! Thank you.
Bid in the amount of $65,000
It would be great to get a look at the trunk with all the carpet out if possible. Sorry for all the questions.
Big Thanks!
Does everything work as it should? Lights, heat/defrost, gauges, wipers, etc.
Looks like the cig lighter is missing
Is there a spare tire with this car?
@Spencer4336 Correction, I just spoke to the owner, this is either a factory AC delete car or the AC was removed during some point of the restoration process. There is currently no AC on the vehicle. Hope this clears up! Thank you.
@Spencer4336 This is a factory no AC car.
Is the A/C deleted or just not working?
@billyshaw2002 It is a stunning car. We are glad you like it!
@Andersenrandy Yes there are retractable seatbelts. The rear does not have any however there are mounting points. Thanks!
I can't find a single thing about this car that I don't LOVE!!! Kudos to the builder!
I think I caught a glimpse of retractable Lap & Shoulder seat belts in one of the pictures. I am sure there are but please confirm. Also, are there seat belts for the back seats? thank you

@Alpine911t Yes the car has a sunroof, it was serviced in 2020 and is working perfectly. This car does not have AC. Thanks!
@Andersenrandy All photos have been uploaded! Bringing the car down to South Georgia should not be a problem. You will just need to pay the import fees and duties (outlined in our first comment) and then you can simply register the car in your state! Import fees will be around $1k total, + 2.5% duty. That is all there is on top of shipping. Again, we have great brokers and will handle all of this for you worry free.
@NEUNLFER We are still looking for build photos, the previous owner has them all and we are trying to reach out. A full price breakdown has been added.

Very interested in this car. Getting this car from Canada (and all the steps/cost that come with this) to South Georgia is a little worrisome to me. Could you post some pictures of the extra seats and original doors cards.
Thank you
Does this car have a sunroof?
Is the A/C in place and working?
Thanks
Beautiful car !

@ autosportclassic - just saw a driving video added. Thank you!
Do you have any photographs of the restoration process?
Specifically the turbo-look fender installation and paint work?
Would it be possible to have a cold start and a driving video?
Thanks
Bid in the amount of $9,110
@Sahm I'm afraid our knowledge only extends to getting the car into the US, I do not know the exact specifics for each state. This car is of course over 25 years old but we also would love insight into the exact details of getting it into California. We just shipped out a US spec 964 C2 to California and that was very easy to import, but a modified Canadian example we are not sure. I am sure it is simple, I will try to get further info for everyone here.
Beautiful build. How would registering this in California work? I’m wondering if anyone has experience importing 80’s 911s from Canada to the west coast and could share.
Hi @Arffbubba, from what we can gather they are still Bosch. You can see in the records that the system was replaced during the engine rebuild.
Is Bosch CIS injection still in place?
@993David We would also like to note that there is around 8k miles on the engine and transmission since the rebuild. This car is fresh and ready to go!
@probinson1627 They are the stock ratios. All records for the engine build are available through the gallery. Thanks!
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
I’m surprised that they didn’t do the long hood conversion since they went through the trouble of rear flares
Are the new gear and pinion set the same ratios as stock. If not, what are they?

Hello everyone! We are back with yet another incredible 911 build.
