The Porsche 911SC was offered between 1978 and 1983 with the name ‘Super Carrera,” powered by a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine. Sporting a black finish over a matching interior, this 1980 example Coupe is said to have spent all of its time on the west coast of Canada. Benefitting from a recent oil change and the installation of new rear brake calipers and pads, this classic 911SC is now being offered for auction.
This 1980 example is said to have been professionally refinished in its current shade of black in 2007 at Original Restorations of British Columbia. Equipment includes front fog lights, H4 headlights, a front chin spoiler, front & rear impact bumpers, and 15” Fuchs wheels dressed in Fierce Instinct tires from 2011. The seller notes some paint imperfections along with a small area of rust on the rear decklid near the model designation. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with black leather upholstery and matching Porsche-branded floor mats. The seller adds that the headliner has been replaced and an aftermarket head unit is installed. The blower fan and odometer are currently inoperable, and the fuel gauge reads semi-accurately. Some signs of wear are noted throughout the interior.
The air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine produces up to 180 HP and drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed 915 manual transmission. A new set of rear brake pads and calipers were fitted in March 2023. The seller notes a few minor leaks which seem to be coming from the valve covers and transmission, although they do not appear to leave any drops of oil once parked. The seller also recommends replacing the heat exchangers and blower fan.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for taking the time to look through my auction!
