Available for auction is this Citroen 2CV6 Charleston finished in two-tone green and black over a grey cloth interior. With over 3.8 million examples sold over its 42-year production run, the Citroen 2CV has become an unmistakable symbol of French culture and engineering. This 2CV6 is titled from 1967 but is believed to be a Charleston Edition model produced between 1980 and 1990. It was purchased from its original owner in 2005 when it was issued its current California title. Features include a 602cc flat-twin engine, a full-length fabric sunroof, chrome bumpers, early-style round headlights, and more. Accompanied by a collection of documentation including service records, purchase agreements, and import paperwork, this 2CV6 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
The 2CV features a dual H-frame chassis with an aircraft-style tube framework, overlaid by a steel shell. This Charleston Edition 2CV incorporates elements of art-deco design into its styling and is finished in two-tone green and black. It is believed to have been sent to Founet’s Citroen of Maryland in 1986 for service and was refinished during the same year. Details include a full-length fabric sunroof, “2CV6 Charleston” badging, a chrome-finished grill surround, French-style round headlamps, dual side mirrors, fold-up front windows, front and rear chrome bumpers with front overriders. The seller reports that the finish remains in very nice overall condition while noting a few small dents on the doors and a patch on the cloth sunroof. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features seating upholstered in quilted grey cloth along with black door panels, a 70 MPH Jaeger speedometer, windshield wipers, a parcel shelf, and black rubber floor liners. Upgraded air horns have been installed and the seller confirms that all gauges and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from an air-cooled 602cc flat-twin engine with upgraded ignition which drives the front wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transaxle. The 2CV features a unique swing arm, fore-aft linked suspension system with inboard front brakes. The mileage has been documented in writing since 1991, and it was serviced in 2005 at 23,780 miles with new shocks, front and rear brakes, transmission mounts, a valve adjustment, and fresh fluids and filters.
This sale will include service and import documentation, owner’s literature, and a clean title.

Never mind -- I see when it ends.
Is there an end date to this auction?
Reminds me of when my mom drove me around in a baby blue one in the mid-80s; 2CVs just put a smile on my face. GLWA!
