Finished in Black over a matching leather interior, this 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe was delivered new in the U.S. featuring optional Sport Seats, a limited-slip differential, and an electric sunroof. It had reportedly been with its previous owner for 15 years before it underwent refurbishment at Canepa in 2018 and was purchased by the seller later that year. Having been driven less than 1k miles since, 930 is now being offered for auction out of Washington with approximately 72k miles showing on the odometer.
Compared to a contemporary 911, the turbocharged 930 model features wider fenders and bumpers with a front chin spoiler and a tea tray rear decklid. This example is finished in Black (A1) with a 930S-style front valence and rides on factory 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. Other equipment includes headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, black stone guard decals, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, a fender-mounted antenna, and a dual-tipped muffler. The wheels are dressed in Continental ExtremeContact tires from 2017 and the seller describes the paint to be in fair overall condition, noting minor cosmetic damage on the driver’s side rear quarter panel and a touched-up chip on the hood. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black leather interior features optional Sport Seats, a black headliner, and a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel. Other accessories include power windows, air conditioning, Vostek pedal covers, and an aftermarket stereo. Refurbishment completed at Canpea in 2018 included installing a restored OEM steering wheel, replacing the sun visors, and repairing the door pockets.
A turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 291 HP and 265 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Service was completed by Canpea in 2018 at 70,861 miles including a complete mechanical inspection, replacing shift linkage bushings, and conducting an engine leak-down and compression test.
This sale will include a spare tire, a battery charger, and a clean title.

Sold for $100,000
Bid in the amount of $100,000
No idea. Seats appear to be period correct. Not sure who Shady Bruce is.
Any info on what happened to those original seats?
@spjnsr the COA states the car had sport seats from the factory. The seats in the car are not sport seats. Did shady Bruce swap on them out at the time of resto?
I just sent a picture of the hood with the touch up painted chip as well as the spot on the rear bumper under panel. Paint is actually in very good condition with the exception of these 2 spots.
@spjsnr The listing states that the paint is in "fair" condition. Very hard to see anything detailed from the pictures provided so can you take better pictures of the flaws that make the paint fair?
I can meet you somewhere in the Edmonds area. Time and place?
