This RoW 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe comes finished in black over a Cork leatherette interior and was configured with an optional sunroof-delete. Initially delivered in Switzerland, this example was imported to the United States in April 1985 and was later acquired by its fourth and current owner of approximately 12 years. It has been upgraded with Carrera chain tensioners while recent service has included a new fuel sender, shifter bushing, and more. This 911SC is now being offered for auction out of Illinois.
Factory-specified in Copper Brown Metallic, this non-sunroof Coupe underwent a refinish in black along with an application of window tints under previous ownership. Details include bright aluminum window trim along with European-market H4 headlights & rear bumperettes. It rides on 16” Fuchs wheels wrapped in older Bridgestone Potenza tires. The seller notes minor signs of road wear can be identified upon close inspection including small nicks in the right mirror paint. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin presents Cork leatherette upholstery and a four-spoke steering wheel. Options include a left-side manual antenna with a front loudspeaker and noise suppression. Under prior ownership, the center console was removed and the air conditioning controls were moved to the lower dashboard. An upgraded Blaupunkt CD stereo with auxiliary input has been installed, and dashboard bulbs have been upgraded to LEDs. A few dashboard cracks and wear on the driver’s seat bolster are noted. The seller states that, upon importation to the U.S., the odometer was converted from 82k kilometers. Annual mileage documents will accompany the sale.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine sending up to 180 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Previous mechanical enhancements include upgraded Carrera chain tensioners and a JWest Engineering headlight relay. Routine maintenance during current ownership has included replacing the battery, shifter bushing, hood struts, and fuel sender, with no major services reported necessary by the seller.
This sale will include a clean title and some documentation.
The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for taking a look. I have owned this car for 12 wonderful years. It was my first Porsche, and has been a perfect one as it has been trouble free.Just one turn of the key every time fires up the beautiful flat-six air-cooled engine. It's had regular oil changes and has always been garage-kept and driven on nice days from April-November (the heat works great), never tracked, and truly never an issue."

@Expresswayauto1A all A/C equipment still present but I’ve never refilled it to see if it does. I’m in Chicago and haven’t had the need. The paint is not factory. A PO repainted in black (still looks good). No brake work since I’ve owned. I’ll add a note with all service and my mileage records.

This is a rare SC Euro spec, slick top, crank windows, low milage car. The magic of these early cars is the weight, 2600lbs! I had the pleasure of seeing this beautiful car yesterday. Honestly represented! Tough to find one in this condition!
All, I finally got it up on lift today, just added underbody pics starting at rear. Thanks for your patience.
