Finished in silver over a black interior, this 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe is equipped with a 5-speed manual transaxle paired with its fuel-injected 3.0-liter flat-six engine. It features a Turbo-style front spoiler, fog lights, 16” Fuchs wheels, an electric sunroof, air conditioning, power windows, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, and an upgraded Pioneer head unit. Recently serviced with new fuel lines, oil lines, and brakes, this classic air-cooled 911 is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 119k miles showing on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in silver and features brushed window moldings, chrome headlamp rings, a Turbo-style front spoiler, front fog lights, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, an electric sunroof, and rear fender stone guard decals. The car rides on polished 16” Fuchs wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Cosmetic imperfections in the paint are depicted in the photo gallery.
The cabin features black partial leather seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Accessories include a black leather three-spoke steering wheel, power windows, folding rear seatbacks, an air conditioning system, a heater, a quartz clock, Porsche-branded floor mats, and an upgraded Pioneer head unit. The seller indicates the A/C compressor is inoperable.
The air-cooled, fuel-injected 3.0-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 180 HP and 175 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle, which is said to have been recently rebuilt and fitted with a new clutch. Braking is handled by fixed 2-piston calipers and ventilated discs at each corner. The seller states the car was recently serviced with all new brakes, oil lines, and fuel lines.
This sale will include a spare tire, a tire inflator, a front bra, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “High compression. Prior to servicing the car, it appears the engine may have been rebuilt due to the compression test showing above average."

Any leak down and compression test results? Also any oil leaks head stud issues before the engine was pulled? Also could we get more photos of the paint on the hood and top close up the white oxidation? Thanks
@2FaasstDad Thank you! I don't know how I'd never seen one of those previously. Appreciate the education.
*cylinder head, not the actual cylinder lol
It’s an air pump for smog regulations, it blows fresh air into the cylinders in the exhaust stream basically. Many people including me remove them and plug the intake hole in the cylinder, less complexity
I'm sure this is a dumb question, but what am I looking at on the left (driver's side) of the engine bay? Connected to the fan via a bracket. I'm not used to seeing it there on an SC.
@aircooledguyks we had it checked out after we purchased it, I will see about getting the results from the shop
@celotola in the pictures that have been provided you can see the drivers door chip and the left quarter panel chip
@celotola needs a compressor
can you do another walk around and feature the paint wear and chips etc, rather than avoid it? Also what about service records - apparently no documentation of engine work? Is compressor shot? or just not blowing cold (ie needing a recharge)? thanks
Hi, nice SC. You mentioned high compression, wondering if you have leak down and compression test results?
Bid in the amount of $25,000
