Finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior, this European-market 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe was modified under prior ownership with Turbo-style steel fender flares and a replacement 3.2-liter flat-six engine paired with its 5-speed manual transaxle. Since the seller’s purchase in 2020, the engine was rebuilt and upgraded with 9.5:1 compression pistons, ARP hardware, an IWIS timing chain, and a Dansk sport muffler. The car was also fitted with Bilstein shocks, an RS-style ducktail spoiler, a custom fiberglass front valence, LED headlights, 16” Campagnolo-style Group 4 wheels, reupholstered leather Sport Seats, a JWest short shifter, drilled aluminum pedals, Rennline floorboard inserts, R-style door cards, and coco floor mats. This tastefully customized and upgraded 911SC is now being offered for auction out of California.
This non-sunroof 911SC Coupe was fitted with steel Turbo-style fender flares under prior ownership and refinished in Guards Red. Since the seller’s purchase in 2020, it has been further modified with a fiberglass Carrera RS-style ducktail rear spoiler, a custom fiberglass front valence, Audette Collection LED headlamps, and Euro-style taillights. Carrera badging was added to the rear end and the windshield was replaced by the current owner along with the door and rear window seals. The car rides on satin gold 16” Campagnolo-style Group 4 alloy wheels dressed in Toyo Proxes R888R tires from 2020. The seller notes an orange peel texture on the roof paint, and some chips, scratches, and touch-ups are present around the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black interior features reupholstered leather front Sport Seats with matching 930-sourced leather rear seats and Carbone R-style door panels. Accessories include a four-spoke leather steering wheel with an extended hub, drilled aluminum pedals, a JWest short shifter, a Rennline shift coupler, Rennline floorboard inserts, custom red and black coco mats, LED gauge bulbs, a radio block off plate, and a fire extinguisher mounted below the passenger seat. The seller notes a replacement speedometer was installed for the 3.2-liter engine swap and the mileage shown on the odometer is inaccurate.
Installed under previous ownership, the air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine was rebuilt by the X-Factory in Washington in 2022. The project included rebuilt cylinder heads, upgraded 9.5:1 pistons, ARP connecting rod hardware, an IWIS timing chain, new timing chain guides, oil hoses, and a new oil thermostat. The engine was also fitted with a Dansk sport muffler and catalytic converter delete by the current owner. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Type 915 manual transaxle. The suspension was fitted with new Bilstein shocks and bushings under current ownership and the braking system was overhauled in 2020 with a new master cylinder, hoses, front calipers, pads, and rotors. The seller adds that the car cannot pass a California emissions inspection with the current exhaust modifications.

Seems like cool build. I have seen many older cars here in Houston with electric Air Conditioners and that seems to be the way to go. I’m tempted but the car is red and honestly I don’t have any more garage space. GLWTS.

@atxlonghorn this car does not have A/C. Nor do I believe a system was ever present in this vehicle. I understand the need for air conditioning outside of CA but unfortunately there are no A/C components on the car. I am sure there are aftermarket systems that could be added.....
Is the hardware for A/C present? I wish we had Cali weather down here, but the weather is too damn hot for most of the year.

@green11bb4 the entire heating system is present. The Bowden tubes just need to be connected and yes it should work properly. I am including a set of clips to connect the tubes.

@twickes40 the rattle in the video is the pin for the fire extinguisher and the mounting clips on the extinguisher mount. As far as the transmission, everything works. There is definitely no issue with first gear or any of the gears for that matter.
Great driver quality car. I noticed in the driving video there was a lot of rattling. Is something loose in the car? Also, at every stop you would restart in second gear. Does first gear work OK?

Good morning everyone and welcome everyone to my auction for a special car.
This is my 1979 ROW Porsche 911SC coupe with turbo-look widebody metal fenders and flares, fiberglass front valence, custom front lower splitter, and ducktail spoiler. What really makes it pop is the gold Campagnolo-style Group 4 wheels. The paint is Guards Red over black leather upholstery and I would say the paint at this point is driver quality with chips and other blemishes.
For some background, I acquired the car in 2020, and during 2021 I broke a rod bearing so the engine required a full rebuild. This rebuild was done by Al Kozmal of X-faktory up in Washington state. Details of the rebuild can be found on the receipt in the photo gallery. Since the rebuild I have put on about 1500 miles including the break-in. With it being a new motor, there are zero leaks. The engine was rebuilt to stock specifications with high quality parts. The engine still has the stock heat exchangers along with a cat delete pipe with a Dansk Sport Muffler. The transmission is a stock 915 unit and I recently resealed the input shaft as there as a leak. There is a JWest Rennshift 915 shifter. The suspension has also been refreshed with new bushings and new Bilstein HD shocks. Additionally new front calipers were added to the car.
