Available for auction is this 1979 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D’Elegance finished in Cadillac Colonial Yellow over a Saddle Tan leather interior. Cadillac used the "Fleetwood" name between 1934 and 1976 to denote its most expensive models and an elevated level of luxury. This 1979 example features a 425ci V8 engine mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission, as well as an array of premium luxury features including automatic climate control, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, power accessories, and much more. This American luxury icon is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts showing approximately 36k miles on the odometer.
For the 1977 model year, Cadillac launched a new Fleetwood that was nearly a foot shorter and weighed approximately 900 lbs less than its predecessor. This example comes finished in Cadillac Colonial Yellow with a matching vinyl top. The seller notes that the finish remains in good overall condition and that the car was completely refinished under previous ownership. Age-related wear can be seen throughout, including around the vinyl top and in the door jams. A collection of detailed images are provided in the gallery. Details include chrome bumpers and trim, a power antenna, a soft-close trunk, opera lights, chrome taillight housings, and a set of 15″ steel wheels equipped with chrome wire-spoke covers. The wheels are dressed in a set of American Classic whitewall tires.
Inside, the six-passenger cabin is trimmed in Saddle Tan leather with a matching headliner, dashboard, and door panels. Tan deep pile carpets line the floors, and woodgrain panels adorn the dashboard and door panels. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a rear defroster, power-adjustable front seats, door-panel lighting, drop-down front and rear armrests, an 8-track player, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors. The seller notes signs of wear and confirms that gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional with the exception of the “Trunk Open” light, which remains illuminated. The mileage shown on the odometer is accurate per the seller.
Power comes from a carbureted 425ci 7.0L V8 engine which produced up to 180 HP and 320 lb-ft of torque when new. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 3-speed automatic transmission. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum bakes. The seller notes that all regular service has been performed while under their care and that there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include a clean title.

@PEDIGREE11 Yes all controls work, Drivers seat sometimes hesitates. AC / climate control work. Radio AM FM 8 Track and antenna work. Car is solid mechanically as Im using it as a daily driver and have for the last three summers (April to November). I have repaired anything that given me a problem.
The car that is forty four years old and is a driver. Wear is age appropriate with usage, not a museum piece. It gets a a lot of attention.
SELLER, Does the Air conditioning work? Does the radio work on all functions? Does the aftermarket antenna works? Also do all of the seat controls, windows, and door locks work? Other that the rust and vinyl top issues, what else does the car need?
Bid in the amount of $500

Yes that is correct. Picture was provided to disclose the imperfection on that area
@DBC - This car is a beauty. But image 104 is concerning. Is that a rusty area? Hard to tell but am i looking at the trailing edge of the final top? Is there other rust that you have discovered? Thank you
