Available for auction is an original acrylic painting on canvas of the Porsche 935 “Moby Dick” painted by artist Mike Zagorski. The painting measures 24” wide, 48” tall, and 1-3/8” thick.
Porsche gave the most powerful car developed from the 935 the nickname “Moby Dick”, after the great white whale. It is the first race car with water cooled cylinder heads. It finishes the 6 Hours of Silverstone race with a seven-lap lead. At Le Mans it achieved a speed of 366 km/h on the Hunaudières straight, thanks to its excellent aerodynamics, and finished in eighth place. After two further races “Moby Dick” headed to the museum.

Welcome to the auction for my most recent painting - My second painting on a 935. This was a fun one and I personally think it's one of my best pieces of work to date. It is an original painting (not created digitally, no AI involved, and not a print) - just good old fashioned acrylic paint on canvas with weeks of work involved in creating it. I've added some progress photos to the listing and there's also a timelapse showing some of the process on my instagram (mikezartwork) Happy bidding!
