Lauded for meticulous craftsmanship and luxurious amenities, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II traces its lineage back to the iconic Silver Shadow series. This 1977 example comes finished in a metallic shade of green over a two-tone tan & green interior. It is said to have spent time in California before being acquired by its seller in Arizona from an estate where it was reportedly chauffeur-driven and garage-kept. This classic Rolls-Royce is now being offered for auction out of Arizona.
The Silver Wraith II features an elongated wheelbase compared to the Silver Shadow II, extending the body by approximately 4 inches. This example is said to have been refinished in its current shade of metallic green at a cost of over $8k upon the seller’s acquisition. Details include the iconic Rolls-Royce grille hallmark of the brand’s identity, chrome accents, signature Rolls-Royce badging, and a dual exhaust outlet. It rides on 15” wheels with Rolls-Royce branded hub caps and Vercelli white-wall tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The opulent handcrafted interior is upholstered in tan leather with exterior-color matching piping, dashboard, and carpets. Burl wood veneers decorate the dashboard and upper door panels while a black-finished steering wheel frames Rolls-Royce-branded instrumentation. Equipment also includes chrome trim, rear footrests, and an aftermarket XDM260 AM/FM radio with a CD player fitted into the dashboard lower shelf. Some signs of wear are noted along with some dashboard cracks and the seller reports the fuel gauge, air conditioning system, and power door locks are currently inoperable while the power rear windows operate slowly and the windshield wipers work intermittently.
Power is derived from a 6.75-liter V8 engine featuring a Solex carburetor. As much as 200 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 3-speed GM Turbo Hydramatic THM-400 automatic transmission. The seller adds that the power steering, rack & pinion, and upgraded fuel pump have been serviced.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. This one-of-a-kind '77 R/R is in very nice, original condition. It is a California/Arizona car that has been garage-kept, and chauffeur driven. With a low 81k miles, a beautiful fresh paint job, and rebuilt mechanics, this classic Rolls-Royce is ready to be your classy ride.”

by the records, LRF30093 is the 8th RR Silver Wraith II ever built. LRF30457 was the last. It was fitted with a smaller opera rear window and original Corniche hubcaps. The 3000 series could be recognised amongst others by the thick black bumper, the thicker and shorter grille, the indication plate on the bootlid, the double exhaust, a new model outside mirrors, an automatic split-level airconditioning, a completely new dashboard, an electronic speedometer, a 15 inch steering wheel, rack and pinion steering, a modified front suspension, and many other changes to electronics and engine.
