Introduced in 1977, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II marked a significant refinement of its predecessor, offering notable upgrades in steering, suspension, and overall drivability while upholding the marque’s hallmark luxury. Powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, this 1977 example is finished in white over a blue leather interior complemented with burled walnut veneers. It features a self-leveling hydropneumatics rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, wool carpeting, automatic climate control, and much more. Recently treated to extensive mechanical servicing, this well-preserved Silver Shadow II is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This example is finished in white and accented by chrome brightwork, including polished bumpers, side mirrors, window trim, and the marque’s iconic waterfall grille topped with the Spirit of Ecstasy. Exterior details include twin headlamps, amber front markers, and polished dual exhaust outlets. It rides on 15″ wheels adorned with full covers with white accents and wrapped in a new set of Hankook Kinergy ST whitewall tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in blue leather with matching carpets and accented by burled walnut wood across the dashboard, door panels, and rear tray tables. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone air conditioning, power windows, and power-adjustable front seats. A storage compartment has been fitted in place of the original 8-track tape player, and the rear seating area features reading lamps and picnic tables sourced from a Silver Cloud. The seller notes that the cruise control and original Blaupunkt AM/FM radio are currently inoperative.
Power comes from a 6.75-liter V8 engine featuring an aluminum-silicon alloy block, aluminum cylinder heads, and dual SU carburetors. The rear wheels are driven through a 3-speed GM Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. The 1977 model year introduced rack-and-pinion steering for improved handling and feedback. Suspension consists of fully independent front wishbones and rear semi-trailing arms, with the rear equipped with a self-leveling hydropneumatic system. A dual-circuit high-pressure hydraulic system with four-wheel disc brakes facilitates braking. The seller notes the vehicle underwent a comprehensive inspection and mechanical servicing, including an oil and filter change, new air conditioning compressor and blower motor resistor, battery and wiper blade replacement, front brake service, new front strut and bushings, catalytic converter repair, AC system repairs, electrical corrections to warning lights and servo wiring, carburetor servicing, replacement of multiple brake hoses and front brake pads, and installation of a new transmission pan gasket.
The sale includes the original owner’s manuals, a copy of the window sticker, factory toolkit, spare tire, jack, car cover, sales brochure, three lambswool rugs, all-weather carpeted floor mats, a pair of rear footrests, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Rolls-Royce that has been recently serviced and everything brought up to date. This is a car that you can drive comfortably with confidence. It is an absolute thrill to drive and turns heads everywhere you go at an affordable price.”
