We are pleased to present this 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo finished in Platinum Metallic over a Cork leather interior. Reported to be one of only 727 U.S. market cars built for the model year, this 1977 example represents the final generation of the non-intercooled 3.0L motor. This Turbo was originally purchased in California where it is said to have remained up until the current owner’s acquisition in 1982. Stored away in 2012 with approximately 53k miles on the odometer, this 930 was recently brought out and treated over $9k worth of maintenance. Now showing just over 54k miles on the odometer, this 2-owner Turbo is ready to be enjoyed by its next caretaker.
The Platinum Metallic finish is said to be in fair original condition with some age-appropriate patina. Exterior details include factory wide fenders, pop-out rear windows, headlight washers and integrated front fog lights. This example also features the later Turbo rear spoiler due to the rear wiper option The original Fuchs wheels have been professionally refinished with chrome lips and come dressed in BFGoodrich tires.
Inside, this Turbo has been appointed with a Cork leather upholstered cabin featuring sport seats, an electric sunroof, leather sun visors and a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette radio. The interior is noted to be in great shape with all gauges and accessories remaining fully functional.
Representing the final generation of the non-intercooled 911 Turbo, this 930 carries its original 3.0L turbocharged flat-six engine which is rated at 245 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a number’s matching 4-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds. After spending about 8 years in storage, this 930 was recently brought out and subjected to over $9k worth of maintenance including a full inspection, leak down and compression test. A stamped service book shows proper upkeep and this Turbo is said to drive beautifully with less than 100 miles added since the time of the last service.
