Next up at auction is this 1977 Porsche 911S Targa, finished in dark blue over a red vinyl interior. This 911S Targa was produced in December 1976 and originally finished in Silver Metallic (Z2) over a black interior and was repainted in dark blue under previous ownership. This Targa was acquired by the seller in June of 2021 and the interior was swapped from the original black to red including the carpets, and a new dashboard cover was installed. Additionally, a new air conditioning compressor was fitted and the vehicle received a comprehensive service. Now showing approximately 144k miles on the odometer, this 1977 911S Targa is now being offered at auction by the seller based out of Florida.
This 911S has been refinished in the current dark blue color from its factory specified shade of Silver Metallic (Z2). The seller notes the exterior to remain in good overall condition, noting some small scratches on the body, some flaking of paint on the wheels, imperfections on the door panels, and some corrosion on the front undercarriage panel. Detailed images are provided in the gallery. Exterior equipment includes a black removable roof panel, a black Targa bar, impact bumpers, and body color-matched mirror housings and headlight surrounds. The optional “Light Metal” 15” Fuchs wheels have been color-matched to the exterior color, and are mounted with Barum Bravuris tires.
The interior was reupholstered in red vinyl during previous ownership, including the front and rear seats and door panels, with matching carpeting and a new contrasting black dashboard. Interior equipment includes manually-adjustable seats, a 380mm Sports steering wheel, white instrument cluster trim rings, air conditioning, and an aftermarket Kenwood radio paired with upgraded speakers. The seller reports a new compressor has been recently installed along with a refresh of the air conditioning system.
This 911S is powered by an air-cooled 2.7L flat-six engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection which was factory rated at 165 HP and 176 lb.-ft of torque and drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Performance features include 4-wheel independent torsion-bar suspension and 2-piston calipers in the front and rear, paired with ventilated discs at all corners. In preparation for the sale, this Targa received new fluids, filters, spark plugs, as well as a new distributor cap and rotor.
This sale will include a clean title and 2 sets of keys.

@Flat6paradise Hello, I just sent a driving video to be uploaded to the auction.
We don't have a compression test for the car unfortunately.
There is no history of services done to the car previous to our ownership. So the only maintenance we know about is the one done in preparation for the sale (fluids, filters, AC and general/minor maintenance).
The odometer does work
The car has not been driven under heavy rain but the Targa do not seem to be leaking on light rains and washings.
There is no history of accidents to our knowledge (Clean Florida tittle)
A new video has been added to the listing page.
Bid in the amount of $27,000
Hi seller. Any driving videos? Any leak down and compression test? What kind of maintenance has been done such as clutch or top-end rebuilds? Any replacements of tensioners? Any leaks from a targa top? Any accidents? Does the odometer work?
@ramtour2 Good morning, the only rust spot can be seen on the picture 66.
About the head studs, we didn't do any specific inspection aside from a general review and maintenance, the car is mechanically sound and seems to be no problems with the stud on our opinion.
Any rust? Are head studs all good?
Bid in the amount of $25,000
