Marking the final year of the 2.7-liter 911, this 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe is finished in Guards Red over a black interior. It was sold new from Forest Lane Porsche/Audi of Dallas, Texas, and received extensive refurbishment under the previous owner’s care including a rebuilt engine, transmission, and braking system. Recently serviced and with less than 90k miles showing on the odometer, this 911S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Iowa.
This Coupe is finished in Guards Red with chrome trim on the window moldings, door handles, and headlight bezels. Invoices show new Euro taillight lenses installed along with a set of genuine 6”x15” Fuchs rims, silver center caps, and Yokohama Avid Touring S tires in January 2022. The paint is described to be in very good condition and the seller believes the front end to have been previously refinished, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather with matching carpets and a beige headliner. Features include an aftermarket under-dash A/C system and an updated Blaupunkt Santa Fe CD32 radio. All gauges and accessories are said to remain fully functional.
Power comes from a replacement 2.7-liter flat-six engine sourced from a 911S of the same model year. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual gearbox that was rebuilt along with the engine prior to installation. The work was carried out by Victory Motorcars in 2014 and included a new clutch kit, flywheel, gearbox synchros, engine seals and gaskets, case studs, bearings, valve guides, oil lines, ignition components, and more. The brake system was also overhauled by Victory Motorcars in 2015 including new calipers, pads, hoses, and a master cylinder. More recently, the seller performed a valve adjustment and oil change in preparation for the next owner. Corresponding invoices are provided in the gallery.
This sale will include some documentation, the original owner’s manual, and a clean title.

I just uploaded some undercarriage photos, as well as a cold start video. That stuff should be up soon for you all in the gallery!
@targahawk , thank you. I'm not that well versed in Porsches. This is a really outstanding car.
@Jimbo1907 The manual is correct for the car. I believe each model had the same owner's manual cover, as you can see it also displays "911S." The VIN is written in the first page, along with the date its warranty coverage began (11-19-1976), and the first owner's information.
The manual appears to be for a Turbo Carrera, but this car (which is VERY nice) is naturally aspirated and not a turbocharged one, am I correct? Thank you.
@Clint930 I will get some underbody shots for you on Monday!
Pictures of the undercarriage?
