This 1977 Porsche 911S has been refinished in its factory-specified Oak Green Metallic over black upholstery. It underwent a comprehensive restoration, including an engine displacement increase to 2.8 liters, a lightweight flywheel, an upgraded Sachs clutch kit, refreshed transmission components, a short shift kit, CIS fuel injection, and more. Additional equipment includes Sport Seats, ATS ‘Cookie Cutter’ wheels, and a custom sunroof-delete. Acquired by the seller in 2018, this Coupe is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 54k miles on the odometer.

The exterior is said to have been stripped to bare metal and refinished in its original Oak Green Metallic shade. Equipment includes body-colored headlight rings, impact bumpers, a front chin spoiler, front fog lights, dual mirrors, a single exhaust outlet, and 15” ATS ‘Cookie Cutter’ wheels wrapped in like-new Firestone Champion tires. The seller adds that a sunroof-delete has been performed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the driver is greeted with black upholstery, factory Sport Seats, and a new headliner. Accessories include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, black carpeting, aftermarket floor mats, and power windows. Minor signs of wear are noted on the driver’s seat.

In 2020, the air-cooled flat-six was upgraded to a 2.8-liter displacement using forged 10.5:1 92mm pistons. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine features 964 RS-spec camshafts and was balanced and blueprinted alongside a lightweight flywheel and an upgraded Sachs clutch kit. Additionally, the transmission was refreshed with new bearings, synchros, and a short shift kit, while the CIS fuel injection system was rebuilt to accommodate the larger displacement. Service records detailing the restoration are provided in the gallery. The seller adds that the suspension and brakes have also been serviced.

This sale will include a clean title and a spare tire.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for looking at this beautifully restored original Porsche 911S! Private showings can be arranged, thank you for looking & happy bidding!”

@jbird23 any chance finding the missing seat release latch from the drivers seat and the defrost control knob?

  • feralcat (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

I imagine it’s not feasible to restore sunroof functionality at this point— probably substantially easier to properly fill it in.

Can you provide any additional information on the motor Dyno ? Compression ? Thanks

  • jbird23 (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@2mAn I can't confirm the sport seats were from the factory they were in the car when it was acquired, the sunroof mechanism was completely removed

  • 2mAn (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@jbird23 Do you know if the Sport seats were factory optioned, or added later?

Curious why the sunroof surround wasn’t filled during the repaint to really complete the look… how much of the factory sunroof mechanism was removed?

  • jbird23 (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@SayAWE911 The sunroof glass was removed and filled in/sealed, a new headliner was installed to complete the look

  • jbird23 (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@Slim_Chance Hi yes the pistons are forged 92mm JE with DC64 cams

  • SayAWE911 (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

How was the 2.8 displacement done? I’m familiar with the Nickies kit and JE pistons.
