This 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe came factory finished in the Paint to Sample color of Oak Green Metallic over a Cork partial leather interior featuring optional Sport Seats, power windows, a sunroof, air conditioning, and cruise control. It was discovered in a neglected condition by the seller in 2023 and subsequently restored to its original specifications including new paint, interior upholstery, and a mechanical overhaul. This numbers-matching 911S Coupe is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This 911S Coupe has been refinished in its factory Paint to Sample color of Oak Green Metallic (Y4). The seller notes the engine and glass were removed during the paintwork and all rubber seals have been replaced along with the windshield. The car features dual mirrors, an electric sunroof, an electric antenna, optional rectangular front fog lights, and factory 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels that have been refinished and dressed in new tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The Cork interior showcases factory-optioned Sport Seats that were reupholstered during the restoration along with the installation of a new wood-rimmed steering wheel. Accessories include power windows, cruise control, a center console, air conditioning, a locking glove box, and an analog clock. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are fully functional and that the odometer was replaced during the restoration and the A/C compressor is currently uninstalled.
A fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 165 HP and 176 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual transaxle. Recent service is said to include replacing the warmup regulator, fuel pump, ignition coil, a new 11-blade fan, a new fuel-sending unit, battery, filters, brake pads, and sway bar bushings. The fuel system is said to have been refurbished as well.
This sale will include a spare tire, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, an A/C compressor, and a clean title.

@B_WfU Sorry, we were not able to do it on time for the auction
I’m assuming no compression or leak down was performed?
Bid in the amount of $39,000
@jal3985 We just submitted a cold start and driving video to the Pcarmarket team, they should be posted anytime now.
Any videos of the car coldstate and test drive?
Were you able to get compression or leak down numbers in the engine?
Obviously the cars original fenders were replaced or altered as these are SC Flared fenders.

Just sold my Seinna Metallic, 77 Targa 911S, 3 months ago and I miss it already. These are fun and often overlooked cars. I'd try to add this one to my collection if I had the space...and some more funds. This should do well with this amazing color combination. Someone's going to be a real happy winner.
@robblr Hello, you are right, CoA shows sport seats but we received the car with the standard seats shown on pictures. Looks like the original sport seats were lost before we took ownership of the car unfortunately.
@McGalliard Good morning, the car was repainted red at some point in its life (which was very common in the 80s). When we received the car we disassembled it (all glass out, engine out, bumpers, trim, etc.) and sent everything to the body shop for a complete repaint in the original factory color (Oak Green).
The engine was taken out and as mentioned and the ''overhaul' included whats mentioned on the auction: replacing the warmup regulator, fuel pump, ignition coil, a new 11-blade fan, a new fuel-sending unit, battery, filters, brake pads, and sway bar bushings. The fuel system is said to have been refurbished as well.
The COA lists sport seats, however it's being sold with standard comfort seats which is an important distinction. Sport seats would've added considerable value.
I'm not sure why all the fuss over Paint to Sample... OGM was a popular factory color in '77. A dang beautiful one, at that.
It's also clear that SC flares were added at some point to this last-of-the-narrow-bodies car.
Alright, now I reread the “engine out for paint.” Still confused why it’s red. Unless that’s just part of “found in a neglected state”.
I’m confused as to why the current color and the COA say Oak Green Metallic (OGM) but the “pre-paint” pic is a red car. I don’t see green under that red. So it was stripped from original OGM, repaint in red, and now back to OGM but without full strip? And the next pic of red trim bits on the floor surrounding the engine and transaxle, but engine out is not part of the “mechanical overhaul”? What am I missing?
@95baskethandle The name of the shop is Studio 22 Autoworks, they are reachable and this is their website: https://www.studio22autoworks.com/
The owner's name is Kenny and you can ask him about the work done to this car.
As we explained in our previous message, we don't have an invoice for the body and paint work, but please feel free to reach the body shop if you want detailed information about the paint process.
What’s the name of the shop that did the work? Can you post the receipt please. Thanks.
@95baskethandle No we don't unfortunately, since the body shop does not include any details on their invoices but just a single line with the full price of the work, it does not add any information.
Bid in the amount of $37,500
Thanks - do you have invoices for the body and paintwork as well?
@95baskethandle Hello, we are uploading the pictures for all the records right now, please check the pictures gallery again.

@GrigioF430 Hello, you are right, the Porsche CoA does not state ''Paint to Sample''.
Good morning- are the records in the photo gallery? The last images I see are the red partially stripped car and the trim pieces. Receipts for everything would earn my bid. Thanks.
@95baskethandle Good morning, the body was not completely stripped to bare metal. Some of the areas were, but not every single panel.
For the interior work, we sourced the right material for the job and a local upholstery shop did the front seats.
The invoice for the material used is on the records.
I am a little confused on the color information. The description states "paint to sample" Oak Green Metallic. The Porsche Production Specification sheet states "Oak Green Metallic/Y4" - not Paint to Sample. I looked it up, and paint code 265 Oak Green Metallic was a standard color offered in 1977. So why is this car a "Paint to Sample"? Seems like it was painted in a standard color for 1977. What am I missing? By the way, it looks very nice!
Was the body stripped to bare metal before the respray?
Can you please upload more pictures from the restoration process, specifically pictures of the arches if the car was taken down to bare metal.
Who performed the interior work? Do you have receipts for that. Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $35,000
too many unknowns and ambiguity.
I'm out
Bid in the amount of $26,000
@MiamiGarageClassics "C3" is shorthand for the 1976-1977 Carrera 3.0. Standard 1977 911s didn't have front and rear wheel arch flares, while the "C3" did. The pre-repaint image answers this question, along with the 2.7L on the COA.
@ScoobyDone We agree that the term ''mechanical overhaul'' may be a little confusing.
The mechanical works done to the car are only the ones described on the auction, copying the text here:
Recent service is said to include replacing the warmup regulator, fuel pump, ignition coil, a new 11-blade fan, a new fuel-sending unit, battery, filters, brake pads, and sway bar bushings. The fuel system is said to have been refurbished as well.
@ScoobyDone We just requested the videos to be updated, thank you for the heads up.
@mtkatrev We just requested the videos to be updated, thank you for the heads up.
those newly added videos are for a TARGA, -- not the same car !!
@MiamiGarageClassics The description states 'mechanical overhaul.' May we know if that meant split the case? head work? Vlaves?
A cmpression test can attest to the integrity of the engine and bolster bidder confidence. Without knowing the condition of the engine bidders may be exposed to tens of thousands of dollars in unforseen repairs/replacements. thanks for understanding the critical importance of this.
Pcarmarket, the videos attached are from a different car.
@ScoobyDone We don't have a compression test at the moment, but will try to have it done before the auction ends.
@Rhubbert Yes, the AC compressor has been removed. While the compressor is with the car, it's condition is unknown. We think it's safe to assume it will need to be replaced.
@ojdickinson Engine number on this car is 6273055, which per the Porsche Red Book, it's numbers matching to VIN number on the car.
@OldSchool All the requested pictures were just uploaded. The driving video is already included here in the auction. Please check the videos section at the very end of the auction description.

@witz Yes, spacers are used on the rear wheels
@RedArcadia Wheels are 16 indeed
@macroni Wheels are 16 effectively.
Not sure about the width but we are working on that
@macroni Yes, the car seems to be flared.
Not sure about the ''C3'' question, please let us know more about this

@ojdickinson Good morning, I just added the requested pictures.
About the paint code plate, while it seems to be all brushed out, the code is still visible and reads 265-9-3
About the odometer, the old odometer is not available unfortunately and the mileage on that gauge is not known.
The wind deflector deploys but has one part missing, a picture of this is attached too.
No body work was done at the time of the respray, and we are not aware of any body work done under previous ownership.

excellent color combo!
Are you able to provide compression test results for the engine please?
Restored to original condition????
Please.
Bid in the amount of $20,911
Bid in the amount of $911
Great looking car
It appears to AC compressor has been removed, does it need to be replaced.
@macroni The COA says it's a 2.7, but the flares say C3 - or a mod at some point. Curious to hear the story.
Nice color and bodywork. Can we have pictures pre-and durning the painting process, floor mats up and glove compartment along with a driving video?
Looks like a nice car! The wheels look like 16x7
All around. The seats are not sport seats. Nice flair fenders in the rear. Are there wheel spacers in the rear?
Love the color. Interior "restoration" looks DIY. Maybe it's an optical illusion, but the wheels look 16" to me.
This would appear to be a European Carrera. I brought one over during the 'grey market' days from Berlin. Had the same flared rear fenders and the right side rear-view mirror- EXCEPT the 1976-1977 Carreras had the 3.0 litre motor.
Wheels look like 6 & 7s x 16
This car appears to be flared.
Is it a C3?
Well hello there beautiful!
Seller, will you please post images of the door jamb vin plate and paint code plate? What was the indicated mileage on the odometer prior to the speedometer swap? Do you still have the original speedo? Does the sunroof wind-deflector deploy? Was there any body work done at the time of the respray or under previous ownership?
