Representing the final model year of the original 911 series, this 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe comes finished in Silver Metallic over a black interior with optional Sport Seats and an electric sunroof. The car was also factory-equipped with a 5-speed manual transaxle, a fuel-injected 2.7-liter engine, optional Fuchs forged alloy wheels, and rectangular fog lights. The car is said to have spent its first 42 years in San Francisco and Monterey, California, where it was acquired by the current owner in 2019. This classic air-cooled 911 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing approximately 125k miles on the odometer.
This 911S comes finished in Silver Metallic and features optional rectangular front fog lights mounted below the bumper as well as Euro-spec H4 headlights, rear lenses, and turn signals. Other details include a driver’s side mirror, new front and rear emblems, chrome door handles and window moldings, rocker panel deletes, and factory 15” Fuchs forged alloy wheels dressed in Kumho tires. The seller notes a small dent on the passenger side and several small paint imperfections. The original rocker panels are said to accompany the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black partial leather interior features optional factory Sport Seats and an electric sunroof. Modifications include an aluminum Rennline lower dash and door sills, a MOMO three-spoke steering wheel, a Porsche radio delete plate, a 911SC air vent, and black sun visors. The seller notes the ignition lock cylinder, switch cover, and hood struts have been replaced and the rear seat carpeting shows signs of wear. The interior door pockets have been removed and will also accompany the sale. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
Power comes from an air-cooled and fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six engine which has been fitted with an airbox pop-off valve and serviced with a new starter, fuel accumulator, fuel filter, and spark plugs. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller notes the fuel tank has been flushed, an oil service was recently completed, and the car passed a New York State safety inspection in June 2023.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a spare tire, some service records, the original rocker panels and door pockets, a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, and a clean title. The seller adds that the ignition lock cylinder was replaced along with two new keys from Porsche. Therefore two of the keys operate the ignition while the black original key, red valet key, and spare silver key lock the doors.

@AnyOldIron good evening- I’ve enlarged three additional photos of the blemish on the drivers door and they should be viewable in the gallery as soon as Pcarmarket uploads them in the morning. Thank you & happy bidding….
@toad1975 there is a blemish which is extremely noticeable on the drivers door in picture 4,5,6 etc. just above the jacking point. Please show that clearly in additional photos.
Bid in the amount of $18,000
@AnyOldIron @AnyOldIron. They will be posting three enlarged photos shortly. In the meantime please refer to photo # 25 & # 73 in the gallery! Thank you, - Matt

@Somer hello, I am currently out of town and I will not return until after the auction concludes. I have not experienced any change in compression during my four years of ownership. The car will be sold as is. I don’t have the ability to conduct a compression test if that is what you are asking. Thank you, -Matt
Since there is no maintenance history per se, any change of a compression test?
Bid in the amount of $12,000
Thanks for quick response and attention to issues brought forward
Good day, my sister-in-law was able to get us an additional 22 photos showing the undercarriage which are now posted in the gallery. I can tell you that I drove the car in Monterey, CA in August of 2019. I purchased it and had it shipped to New York where I have been legally driving it since. You can see in the gallery that the car passed my state’s safety inspection in June of 2023. I cannot speak to CA or NY’s emissions testing. The car was purchased new in California and has spent all but the past four years of its life there. There are no signs of rust on or underneath the car! Thank you & happy bidding…
My understanding is that all 77 911's came with air pumps and thermal devices. CA and the rest of USA were the same. I see an extra belt groove on the fan pully, for an air pump. This would not pass CA emissions without it. New York must have much less rules on emissions test. Any info on all these areas would help increase knowledge of your car. Especially the pictures of the bottom component. thanks.
Otherwise, we have no idea of the entire bottom of the car's condition. Maybe some close ups of the rocker panels came off would be helpful to understand the ridges seen. Being on vacation, I'm sure you have someone who can get to the car and get some more information to help sell your car. Thanks for your time in gathering some of this important information.
I see you are on vacation. Can someone just take some pictures of wheel sells and suspension parts under there. Also some pictures of the engine bottom and back suspension. Also getting what type of exhuaust system is present. Then front suspension. These pictures can do wonders on seeing these important parts just from shotting an i-PHONE
Bid in the amount of $10,500
@garyklein911 no trans/suspension work to my knowledge. The car appears to have been resprayed. I prefer the cleaner look which is why I removed the rockers. I have them in my garage and they will accompany the sale. According to Dodi, from Dodi Auto Sales in Monterey, I am the third owner. I acquired the car in August of 2019 in Monterey, CA and had it shipped to Upstate, NY. I am told that the previous owner was a pilot and drove the car regularly. I am not sure if it was stored for a long period of time.
Any engine work done ever? Any trans/suspension work done ever? Respray? Why rocker panels off? Stored for long period ever?

Thank you all for visiting my auction - welcome!
I am here to answer any questions you may have, so don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you & regards,

@grillage hello. The car is equipped with California emissions as it was purchased new there! I am away now on vacation and cannot provide any additional photos until 8/5.
@toad1975 thanks! Can you post of photo of the underside of the engine and exhaust manifolds? That will answer a few questions on the emissions equipment
@grillage the seats were recovered when I purchased it. It still has the 5 blade fan. No engine upgrades to my knowledge.
This car might have started life with Sport seats, but these are not sport seats
Any updates done to the engine? I cant tell if it still has the ‘77 emissions stuff on it — 5 blade fan, thermal reactors etc.
