Up for auction is a 1977 911S race car converted into a 993 GT2 EVO. The car is GIA certified to run in any vintage association. The car has been completely pampered and used primarily as a DE car and some PCA club events. In May 2018, the car was completely refreshed by renowned shop, Speed Sport Tuning in Connecticut at a cost of more than $8k. The original owner/seller states that no expense was spared when creating this well-sorted race car.
The seller states that the car hasn’t been tracked in nearly two years until this weekend at Limerock Park, CT, where the seller ran a few laps to test the car prior to auction. The seller is happy to state that the car ran perfectly and is ready to be enjoyed.. This bare metal custom build is based off of a fully intact 1977 911S. A full and detailed build sheet is available along with complete build video and in car footage at Willow Springs.
Cosmetically, the 911 is stated to be in immaculate condition. The seller notes that the vehicles has always been well maintained post racing. The interior is ideal for racing with all of the essentials installed.
Key Exterior and Interior Features:
The car comes equipped with a fully custom braking and suspension system. This 911 is wearing a set of 18" K28 Kinesis wheels (10.5" front & 13" rear). The seller will provide an additional identical set with the sale.
Key Suspension and Braking Features:
The full build is only 6 years old. According to the seller, the engine was built with only high quality parts. The 993 3.6 liter has fresh Mahle P's + C's with all machine work was done by Ollies. The engine was built for longevity and only has about 50 or so hours and shouldn’t need a rebuild/refresh until next 100 hours. The car has a completely rebuilt g-50 transmission with shortened gearing and gobs of low end torque. The seller states that the car is competitive with new generation GT3's and cup cars.
Key engine and Transmission Features:
The sale will include records of work performed, keys, and books.
