A forerunner to the modern sport utility vehicle, the Jeep Wagoneer was introduced for the 1963 model year and produced up until 1991 with an almost unchanged design. This 1977 example is finished in Brown Metallic over a brown plaid cloth and vinyl upholstered interior. This Wagoneer features a 360ci V8 engine, a 3-speed automatic transmission, a Quadra-Trac 4×4 system, an AM radio, air conditioning, cruise control, power-assisted steering and brakes, 15″ slotted-alloy wheels, a roof rack, and faux-wood paneling trim. This Jeep Wagoneer is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
Factory finished in Mocha Brown (7B), this Wagoneer is said to have been repainted in Brown Metallic under prior ownership and the woodgrain vinyl paneling is said to have been replaced as well. This Jeep rides on polished 15″ slotted-alloy wheels with Jeep-logo center caps and features brightwork on the roof rack, door handles, window trim, bumpers, light surrounds, and the egg-crate grille. Under previous ownership, this Wagoneer underwent left-rear quarter panel rust repair, a wet-sanding paint correction, and a ceramic coating treatment. Noted imperfections include oxidization on the brightwork and some blemishes in the paint. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The 6-passenger cabin includes bench seats trimmed in brown vinyl with patterned cloth upholstery. Equipment includes an AM radio, a carpeted cargo area, cruise control, power-assisted steering, a brown-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, and air conditioning that was converted to use R134a refrigerant. The radio preset buttons are said to no longer function and punctures are noted in the back of the rear seat.
This Wagoneer is powered by a 360ci V8 engine which delivers power to all four wheels by way of a 3-speed automatic transmission and a Quadra-Trac transfer case. A fuel-tank skid plate has been fitted and recent service is said to include brake maintenance, transmission fluid change, and carburetor replacement. Rust is noted in the engine compartment and on some underside surfaces.
This sale will include three keys, an owner’s manual, and a clean title.
