Manufactured by the Triumph Motor Company in England from 1968 to 1976, the TR6 sports car boasts bodywork crafted by Karmann, a four-wheel independent suspension, and a 2.5-liter inline-six engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. This 1976 example is finished in green over a tan interior and comes equipped with a removable hard top, an AM/FM radio, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, and more. This TR6 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia.
The TR6 showcases classic body-on-frame construction with coachwork crafted by Karmann of Germany. Finished in green, this example features a body-color removable hardtop, a luggage rack, rubber bumper overriders, a plastic air dam, Union Jack decals on the rear quarters, and dual side mirrors. It rolls on 15” wire-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. The seller reports minor road wear and tear/rock chipping on the paint. Furthermore, when the hardtop is installed, the windows do not fully seal, leaving a slight gap between the window and the roof. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the cabin features tan vinyl upholstery paired with tan carpeting complemented by black rubber floor mats and a woodgrain dashboard. Accessories include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, Smiths analog instrumentation, an AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, and heating and ventilation controls. Additionally, auxiliary gauges in the center stack monitor coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and battery voltage. The seller notes a tear in the headliner over the driver's side of the hardtop and sagging in the rear.
A 2.5-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with dual carburetors powers the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission. The TR6 boasts four-wheel independent suspension with aluminum semi-trailing arms at the rear, along with rack and pinion steering, and braking power is facilitated by front disc and rear drum brakes.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a soft top, protective light covers, a boot cover, a tonneau cover, Triumph-branded all-weather mats, spare parts, and a clean title.

@Dupla, why would you say that? This is a final year TR6, well-optioned, with incredibly low miles. (The hardtop alone is a multi-thousand dollar piece.)
I imagine @Grandpashotrods is informed and astute enough to have seen multiple TR6s sell past double this amount, realizing his bid is a wise but low opening salvo.
Good afternoon! I work for the seller of this amazing low mileage Triumph. As this auction comes to a close I just wanted to invite any last minute questions. I'm happy to help out any way I can. Thanks everyone! You can reach me by comment or direct message. -Samantha
