After much anticipation, we are proud to offer for auction what is now known as the “OTLW”. In addition to being one of the most important production cars in Porsche history, this particular 930 Turbo also has quite a history. Before being purchased by the current owner/seller, the car was owned by Porsche collector and cultural icon, Magnus Walker. This Turbo can be found in a number of magazine articles and online features including: the short film "Turbo Fever", Duck and Whale Magazine, and a number of Fifteen 52 promotional segments. The car continues to gain popularity among the Porsche community under the current ownership as the "Paddington OTLW". This 1976 Turbo is said to be the 13th delivered to the US, making it a very early and special example. It is now being offered for auction by the current owner out of Paddington, Sydney, Australia.
Earlier this year, Exclusive Body Werks in Sydney, AU (authorized Porsche shop) was commissioned to perform a complete exterior paint refinish in its original factory color of Black. The Magnus Walker designed Fifteen52 wheels, a perfectly placed Outlaw decal, and lowered stance work together to create the badass look you see today. The F:15x8 and R:15x10 wheels are wrapped in a brand new set of Pirelli P7 Corsa tires.
Also, earlier this year, ProStitch in Sydney, AU completed a full refresh of OTLW’s black leather interior. This included reupholstering the original front sports seats/doors and installing new carpeting. All electronics are in excellent working order including the under-dash air-conditioning unit and upgraded VDO stereo system. Putting the driver in touch with the road is a vintage MOMO steering wheel (original is included with the sale).
This 930 Turbo retains its numbers matching 3.0L air-cooled flat-six engine that is capable of producing approximately 256HP. The visceral driving experience has been noticeably improved with the addition of a custom twin-pipe exhaust lowered suspension. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission that was completely rebuilt in 2015. The seller states that the car has been extremely well-maintained under his ownership. All recent mechanical work was performed by Autohaus Hamilton, including an engine-out mechanical refresh and major service, which includes:
A copy of all receipts since the current owner's purchase will be included with the sale.
Also included in the sale:
Don't miss your opportunity to own this incredible storied 930 Turbo. Rarely does such a special car come up for sale.

Bid in the amount of $182,250
The Magnus connection is the deal but it’s what the current owner did to the car that makes it worth ALL the $$$.
Magus said he will not build cars for people. So when these cars come up for sale..... grab it! This one is amazing. I remember this car in the fifteen52 promos. That sick looking rear quarter view!!!! Unfortunately I can only dream for now.
Nice car. It will be interesting to see what it brings as I have a one owner 52,000 mile Continental Orange '76 turbo that I will be selling soon. .... hope it brings a ton ! :)
@KaiOhu good question. I have a quote from a company called West Coast Shipping that are based in California. They charge $1500US to ship the car SYD/CAL and then there are port arrival costs of around $1000 - $1200USD.
Awesome presentation. Any idea of shipping costs to Hawaii Or California?
7 days to go guys! Can’t thankyou enough for getting involved. I’ve had so much fun, and met so many people owning this very unique 930. She will be missed, but it’s time for someone else to take ownership and add to the story. So one more bid, and I’ll tell the auction house to remove the reserve! Good luck
@550bryan yep those rear bumpers the US cars have certainly been a topic of conversation over the last three years! In the end I kind of grew to like them ?. Thanks for your comments on the leakdown/compression. I agree - no chance of a rebuild for many years to come ?
With a beautiful 930, two comments, the compression and leak down numbers are really good on a 43 year old motor, nothing to worry about. I am surprised that the owner didn't install the ROW rear bumpers guards as part of the repaint. The smaller ones look so much better and result in a significant weight savings. Otherwise perfect and with this history, maintenance record , recent work and the Walker connection it's beyond my budget, but what a nice 930. GLWTS
@JerseyMike964 hi mike. Thanks for your comment. Leak down/compression test results were very good. Only just over 65k miles on the engine also. For an independent opinion feel free to reach out to Autohaus Hamilton in Sydney who know the car well. Ask for either Grant or Tim
Guys, what’s the consensus on the compression/leakdown tests?
Any indication of potential rebuild required in the near future?
