Up for auction is this 1976 Porsche 911S Targa. Featuring a unique color combination, numbers matching 2.7L engine, 5-speed transmission and a well-documented history, this Targa would be at home in any air-cooled enthusiasts garage. Having won best in class at the DRT 2020 Porsche event in Miami, it is clear that this Targa is something special. This well-presented example is now being offered out of Kendall, FL in turn-key condition.
This Targa has been professionally refinished in its original color of Grand Prix White by Fix Auto Contrecoeur in 2008. The car is said to show very well which is backed up by the gallery photos. A few factory features include Koni shock absorbers, chrome accents in black, fog lights, washer nozzles, a removable targa top and 15″ cast-aluminum “cookie cutter” wheels that wear Goodyear Assurance tires dated from 2005.
Inside, you will find a rare and incredibly unique black leatherette interior that features beige tartan seat and door inserts. Upon purchasing the vehicle, the owner commissioned a refreshing of the interior that included the replacement of the seats and door cards in the original material and color combination listed on the certificate of authenticity. Said to have been dealer installed, an upgraded under-dash air conditioning unit is present and in excellent working condition along with all other electronics.
Power comes from a numbers matching fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six that produces 157 HP with 166 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission making for a pure and visceral driving experience. According to the seller, documentation and service records are available from new showing that the car has always been properly maintained and cared for. A recent service was carried out that included all fluids and filters changed along with the replacement of the oil return lines. Now up-to-date on all service, this 911S Targa is waiting to be driven by a new owner.

Couple of things to note. Does car have remote oil cooler? It needs one if not. top will leak air and have wind noise for it is not fitting right due to incorrect rebuild. The car is unique and nice.

As the auction comes to a close, I just want to mention that PCar had me set a VERY reasonable reserve. Much lower then I would sell the car for normally. My hope is that it goes well over that amount. For all that are interested, BID! The best deal is to be had today!
