Regarded as one of the most significant and collectible air-cooled 911s of all, the Carrera 3.0 was produced for Europe between 1976 and 1977, featuring a naturally aspirated version of the powerful 930 Turbo Carrera engine that provided almost identical performance figures to the legendary Carrera RS. A total of 3,687 cars were produced in total, of which 2,564 are Coupes. This 1976 example was originally delivered through Sonauto-Paris of France finished in Black over a matching interior with leather Recaro sport seats. It was cared for by two owners in France before being sold in 2014 to Porsche dealer “Carrera Motors” in Sint-Martens-Late (Belgium) at a milage of 174,000 Km or 108,124 miles. Showcasing a number’s matching engine and benefitting from major engine service, this unrestored Carrera 3.0 is now being offered for auction by its seller in Europe.
This 911 wears its factory-specified Black (700) paint color with contrasting Carrera side stripes, an optional “Whale Tail” rear spoiler, and 15” Fuchs wheels dressed in Bridgestone tires. The seller notes the factory-applied Cosmoline undercoating is still present on the undercarriage and the paint exhibits some patina, but no major scratches or dents. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The black interior features optional Recaro sport seats as well as a Blaupunkt radio and factory air conditioning system. The seller notes the seat and headliner upholstery is original and in very nice condition.
The seller states that the original 930/02 3.0-liter flat-six engine was disassembled by Carrera Motors in Belgium and serviced with all new gaskets and upgraded head studs. Power is sent to the rear wheels from a 915 manual gearbox with a new clutch and pressure plate. Other service items included a valve adjustment, new spark plugs, and an oil/filter change.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Renes Collectables has executed a Porsche Classic-approved check at Porsche Center Eindhoven (NL) where after the car was sold to the current owner. The car was hardly driven in the past years, went to some European car shows, and was displayed at the showroom of Porsche specialist Edwin Lammertink in Enter (NL) for the past 3 years. The car recently had major service at Lammertink and a classic car check-up at Porsche Centre Antwerp.”

Beautiful car, I own a 77 Carrera 3.0 and they definitely check all the boxes for my Porsche wants. To me it appears with the dash vents that it's a 1977 model.

@twin-grille-roadster please see pic 108: the certificate of authenticity is an official Porsche document only granted after a thorough check of all manufacturing and assembly specs . As it states: The porsche vehicle with identification number listed below was manufactured with the following assembly specifications > all details mentioned.
@bigchungus Good queston! the "SC-K" engine type refers to the flat-six engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system used in some early Porsche 911 models, including the Porsche 911 SC produced from 1975 to 1977
@jfbenavides the car is on Dutch license plates, St.Jansteen is in Holland, 5km from Belgian border .
This is definitely a 1977 model year car. In this vintage car, the fourth digit of the serial number
denotes the model year. The 9117 mean it is a 911, the fourth number denotes a 1977 model year car.
@ClassicCor is the car located in Belgium or Netherlands? I believe Sint Jansteen is in the Nederlands but the listing says Belgium.
looks like a unicorn? because @richardrobert is not incorrect. All of those things stated were introduced in the 1977 model.
what is picture 70? 911-SC K... what does that mean, maybe this is a prototype or transition 76 to 77 car.

@richardrobert check picture 94 for info engine number and first registration. This car was built in 1975 and first registered on licenceplate in November 1976. It has a very early chassis number 292 so this is definately not a 1977 car
@richardrobert see last 5 pictures of the gallery
@richardrobert just uploaded them to the gallery

Power brakes, door locks, dual center air vents, horizontal rear seat darts.... dead giveaway for a 1977 3.0. If you look underneath there will be an Omega spring on the transmission..... all of these are 1977 upgrades.
any pics of underneath the car?
do you have a picture of the engine number and the engine type. I've seen SC engines dropped into these, and the heart and soul of a 3.0 is the engine....
@ClassicCor thank you. I’ll do as recommended.
@sportscarguy3 please check last picture i just uploaded on interior of the door.
Radio is working, no cassette.
@teamchinman pls check our response via email .

Hello, sent you a PM. Thank you.
@ClassicCor I appreciate your reply and information regarding the carpet in the radio
@sportscarguy3 The interior is all black. The blue color in the picture is not correct and due to the lights in the warehouse where pictures were taken. I uploaded another picture that shows all is black and matching to other interior carpet.
@sportscarguy3 on picture 100 and picture 101 shows an invoice of (Lammertink officlal porsche classic dealer in Holland) is a statement that says the airco is repaired (sorry for Dutch language). Radio is working (no cassette, just radio).
P S. Interior picture number 52. I believe it is, looking inside from the drivers door seems to show the door carpeting, very rough and very blue, much different from the other pictures of the same door and carpet.
Is something going on there?
Reading the interior description again I think it’s clear that the air conditioning unit does not work, assuming it would work if it was charged or is the air-conditioning pump in the engine compartment bad?
My concern is more about the radio that was included in the comment about the air conditioning and it’s difficult for me to understand why they both are not working or just the air conditioning
I assume it’s a factory cassette radio and it is or is not working
Thank you
@ClassicCor I appreciate your prompt response to my request for information regarding your handsome Porsche.
I miss my air, cooled Porsches, and this looks like a nice opportunity to get back into them
