This 1975 Porsche 914 has been restored and finished in Signal Yellow over black leatherette upholstery along with the installation of a rebuilt 2.0-liter VW Type 4 engine. It was recently sold on PCARMARKET, although the initial transaction was incomplete by the buyer. A classic air-cooled Porsche with significant refurbishments, this 914 is being offered for auction once again by its seller out of California.
During the restoration, this 914 is said to have received new floor pans and sheet metal for the front and rear luggage compartments. It was refinished in the classic Porsche color of Signal Yellow including the door jambs and trunks. The seller notes the car’s original color was Berber Yellow and the current paintwork remains in good overall condition. Equipment includes a removable black roof panel, vinyl-covered sail panels, backdated body-colored bumpers, slim European-style rear bumperettes, a polished driver’s side mirror, and a set of 15” Mahle Pedrini wheels dressed in Century Touring tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is lined with Charcoal carpeting and upholstered in black leatherette including basketweave pattern door panels, seat centers, and dashboard trim. Accessories include a dashboard cap, ventilation controls, a vintage cassette stereo, a wooden gear knob, a center armrest, and a black four-spoke steering wheel.
This 914 has been fitted with a rebuilt 2.0-liter VW Type 4 engine featuring dual carburetors. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and stopping power comes from disc brakes at each corner. The seller reports there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a restored car with a 2.0 VW bus motor. All floors are replaced. Interior Looks and drives well. The engine is strong and pulls well. The transmission is good and all gears work as they should. The clutch is good. The brakes are good. No rust on this 914. The paint shines nicely. A very well-sorted driver level 914 that will not disappoint.”

Attention to all that were bidding and following the auction. We apologize for the inconvenience, the original winner of the previous auction turned out to have been extremely ill and was in the hospital. He has been in contact and honored the previous sale. This is an unfortunate situation, however, we are glad that he is ok and that the seller has a solution to the issue that the experienced. As a result this auction has been withdrawn.
