Exclusive to the 1975 model year, the Porsche 911S Silver Anniversary Edition celebrated 25 years of Porsche sports car production as the marque’s first commemorative models. Each was finished in Diamond Silver Metallic over unique leatherette and tweed upholstery with additional distinguishing details. This 911S Coupe Silver Anniversary is designated #427 of 1,063 examples produced, of which only 504 were reportedly brought to the United States. Originally acquired on November 28, 1975, it remained with the first owner in Illinois before being passed on to their son, and later to the current owner in April 2023. Showing under 168k miles, this rare example is now being offered for auction out of California.

Inside, the cabin is outfitted with distinctive black leatherette and tweed upholstery. Edition-specific elements also include a Carrera-derived three-spoke steering wheel and a numbered plaque on the passenger side of the dashboard. The seller reports having reupholstered the front seats in the correct OEM fabric, as well as removing the air conditioning pump.

Power comes from an air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six engine featuring Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller reports some smoke and oil leaks from the engine and recommends performing an engine rebuild.

This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The car, for its age, is in excellent condition. I purchased it knowing that an engine rebuild was imminent, which did not bother me. I have other cars and builds to do, so I'm forgoing this project. This is a Silver Edition, making this Porsche very desirable. The front seats have been reupholstered in the Silver Edition OEM fabric.”

I have driven the car less than 100 miles since purchase. There is no extra charge for spider webs. Yes tires are old, bout they still roll. There are no rust holes under battery.As I said only 3 invoices for work, which was performed while in the son's ownership!

I would like to bid.....but we all need some questions below answered.
looking at the pic 57 of the VIN sticker, this doesnt appear to be original paint... looks like it was masked and jamb painted but if you can get a higher resolution pic that would be helpful. the more details you can supply the better the bidding will be.
Bid in the amount of $6,911
What is age of the tires and battery? Was car started periodically or was it dormant?
So - to clarify - there are only 3 service records available? And, the car has not been driven at all since you bought it in 2023? Zero miles in the last two years? Was the car started periodically? CIS fuel injection does not like sitting idle for any amount of time. The tires look VERY old? Is there some rust/corrosion under the battery? Any pics w/o the battery?
Bid in the amount of $5,911
Bid in the amount of $4,750
Very nice 911S. Any chance you have a COA?
Compression #6-135
Yes, the compressor and mounting bracket are pictured in the Gallery, scroll towards the bottom of pictures.
Paint is original as far as I know, with no known accidents. As far as owners I believer that I am second, as the original owner are father and son, I purchased the vehicle but put zero miles on it. I have too many projects!
Steering wheel is stock. Pcarmarket staff probably put that in the description by error!
@wadds1971 Ahhh...sanity at last
Compression test number for cylinder #6 is missing? You stated below that this is a "one owner car", yet the description above states the car was eventually acquired by the original owner's son, and then was sold to you in 2023. That makes three different owners, correct? Where is the "Carrera-derived three-spoke steering wheel" mentioned in the description above? Again, is the paint all original, or has it been repainted, either partially or fully, and when was that done? You have a very desirable-looking mid-year 911S here, but very limited historical information to encourage any bidders. Please add any more detail that you can find in the records. Thanks, and good luck!
Baddog43- i see the condenser and compressor are gone, but does the blower on the under dash unit work, and do you have any of the mounting brackets for the removed items?

AS I said the engine runs smooth and strong! I feel that it just needs a valve job.
I hope this addresses all you concerns!
Thank you!

What is the age of the tires and battery?
Bid in the amount of $1,975
Is it currently running?
@area901 image 74 shows pressure fed chain tensioners so we know some work has been done.
There is no mention of available service records and/or history of any major of semi-major engine work in the listing. As a long time 2.7 owner I find it terribly hard to believe that this car has logged 168,xxx miles without some sort of overhaul or upgrades. I can see that the tensioners seem to have been done...when was the car last painted? Are there invoices for that?
- great narrow body 2.7

Seller: does the car have any rustle areas? What would you say is condition or appearance of the paint? No sunroof, correct? Thank you!
Bid in the amount of $250
Welcome to my auction, should you have any questions please feel free to ask. This is a 1 owner car and for it's age it is in prime condition!
Engine runs strong but needs a valve job.
@TBKTX Thanks for your inquiry.
Engine runs strong, but I feel it needs a valve job as it smokes a little. l have purchased some hoses for replacement that comes with the car. The oil return hose to the tank might need replacement, I did not purchase this particular hose. Front seats were rebuild with correct material , cost $2600.
So you are saying that an engine rebuild is needed upon acquiring ?
