@peterln3 We did have to do some digging and found 1974 was the final year with a standard car receiving the alloy grill. For light weight the 74 Carrera had plastic and carried on to all models in 1975. Alloy became optional at that point as well.

Please note: This is a nice piece, but be aware it has a plastic air grill and it should be anodized aluminum.

I think the question was pertaining to the the metal cover that you removed for the additional photo. Whether it is metal or fiberglass? @jkinne I believe it just looks the way it does because it’s under coated with body shutz prior to paint which I do believe is correct

@jkinne This is a factory piece which is a steel lid with a bonded fiberglass tail section. An additional photo has been sent to Pcarmarket for clarification.

Any pics of the Porsche part number? Is under tray fiberglass or sheet metal - finish in pics seem to indicate fiberglass.

Oops...my mistake...your title says "1974" but the body of the ad says "1975". Nice piece and best of luck with the auction.

Respectfully, isn't this a 1975 Carerra whale tail spoiler? I have one and it's exactly the same style of a non turbo tail. The 1974 model had the duck tail same as the 1973 RS.
