Shortly after production ended for the legendary 1973 Carrera RS 2.7, Porsche introduced a new high performance, fuel-injected 911 Carrera model based on the new G-series platform. The more powerful versions produced for rest-of-world (RoW) markets are colloquially known as “MFI” cars, referencing their Bosch mechanically fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six engine derived from the Carrera RS. This 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 Coupe is one of 518 MFI examples produced during the model year. It came factory-finished in Blue Metallic over a Black leather interior and is equipped with a 5-speed manual transaxle, optional Koni shock absorbers, “S” brakes, an electric antenna, a “slicktop” roof, a black headliner, a sound system, and fog lights. The car was originally sold in Germany and imported to California from South Africa under the previous ownership. Since the current owner’s acquisition, this 911 has undergone a restoration, featuring a full bare-metal repaint, a new dashboard, headliner, refurbished Fuchs wheels, and rebuilds of the original engine and gearbox. The rare, numbers-matching 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI is now being offered for auction out of Colorado, accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
Compared to other G-series 911s, the Carrera model features wider fenders, model designation side stripes, and a fixed rear spoiler. For the 1975 model year, the Carrera model received a new elastomer front chin spoiler to compensate for a larger whale tail rear spoiler shared with the 930 Turbo. This example had been painted white under previous ownership and was completely stripped to bare metal and refinished in its uncommon factory Blue Metallic (X1) color by the current owner. The paintwork was carried out by Rallye Coach Works in Englewood, Colorado, over a year and a half, including repairs of small rust spots with new sheet metal as well as a rust preventative coating at common corrosion points. The seller adds that no evidence of damage or repairs was discovered after the bodywork was stripped. The car features a desirable non-sunroof configuration and is equipped with headlamp washers, front fog lights, a chrome driver’s side mirror, an electric antenna, and original 15” Fuchs wheels that have been restored by Weidman Wheels and dressed in Pirelli P6000 tires. A few minor rock chips are noted around the exterior; detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black leather interior features adjustable front bucket seats, folding rear seatbacks, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, a black headliner, an upgraded factory short-shifter, and an aftermarket aluminum gear knob. Other accessories include power windows, an under-dash air conditioning system, a fire extinguisher, door-mounted speakers, and an inoperable Alpine head unit. The seller notes the dashboard, headliner, and rear leather panel have been replaced. The original shifter and gear knob are included in the sale.
Carried over from the Carrera RS, the 2.7-liter Type 911/83 flat-six engine features Bosch mechanical fuel injection and a factory-rated output of 210 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transaxle. This example is equipped with optional Koni shock absorbers and four-wheel ventilated “S” disc brakes. The seller notes the original engine and transmission were rebuilt by Eisenbuds of Denver, Colorado, with machining by Ollie's in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Upgraded timing chain tensioners were installed during the rebuild, and the seller states approximately 320 kilometers have been driven since.
This sale will include a spare tire, a wrench, a jack, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a beautiful matching number car and original wheels that is in amazing condition. It may be one of the only Metallic Blue 1975 911 Euro Carrera MFI in the USA. Spectacular car. I have the original headlight sprayers and the original shifter with factory shift knob, as a factory short shifter was installed during restoration.”

@opener Will get some underside photos. New SS Heat Exchangers, new muffler, new shocks, new bushings through out. Drives straight as an arrow.
Any photos of the under side of this car?
@leftcoasttraveller Not sure why your having a problem reading the receipts. When I click on them they expand to large size.
Car has all new rubber throughout. Original glass with a new windshield only.
@zollerm York Compressor was rebuild and new seals installed. Believe the A/C was preped at the factory and dealer installed Bosch. Has held a charge for over 5 years.
@leftcoasttraveller Engine was totally rebuilt and is the original block with matching number from the factory. It was in excellent shape and machine work was done by Ollies. When the car was imported it had an MPH vs KPH installed and was not operational. So the total mileage was impossible to know. Found a good 1975 KPH Speedometer and had North Hollywood rebuild. Car was in good shape when purchased in the White Color.
@zollerm Yes ! AC Works. All new refrigerant lines installed. R-12
Good effort on receipts by the seller, but largely unreadable. There was clearly SOME work done on the motor ( white car has a blue coil (ick) and blue car has a black coil (way better). What is known about the history/ state of this lovely mag case 2.7? No records to establish true mileage?
Does the AC work? Thanks.
