Produced in England by the Triumph Motor Company from 1968 to 1976, the TR6 sports car features bodywork by Karmann, a four-wheel independent suspension, and a 2.5-liter straight-six engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. This 1974 example comes finished in red over a brown interior and is said to have been under the care of the same family for the last 46 years. This classic British roadster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

The TR6 features traditional body-on-frame construction with coachwork designed and built by Karmann of Germany. This example is said to have been refinished in the current shade of red in 2020 and features a retractable black convertible top, a contrasting black tail panel and windscreen frame, chrome bumpers with rubber overriders, a chrome fuel filler mounted on the rear deck, a polished driver’s side mirror, British Flag TR6 decals on the rear quarters, and dual exhaust tailpipes. The car rides on factory 15” 4-lug steel wheels with TR6-branded center caps. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features black vinyl upholstery, tan carpeting, and a woodgrain dashboard. Accessories include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, analog Smiths instrumentation, a vintage solid-state radio, a locking glovebox, heating and ventilation controls, and auxiliary gauges in the center stack for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and battery voltage. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are working properly.

A dual-carbureted 2.5-liter inline 6-cylinder engine delivers power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. The TR6 features four-wheel independent suspension with aluminum semi-trailing arms in the rear as well as rack & pinion steering and front disc brakes. The seller states there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.

This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
