As part of the iconic 40-Series, this 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser was acquired by the seller from a farmer in Colombia, where it received a full restoration before being driven extensively and later imported to the United States in 2023. Powered by a rebuilt 3.9-liter inline-six engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, this example is refinished in green over a retrimmed brown interior. It features manual locking front hubs, LED headlights, Bluetooth-compatible stock-style radio paired with aftermarket speakers, and more. This mechanically refreshed Land Cruiser is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut.

As part of its restoration, the body was refinished in green with a contrasting white roof. Exterior details include LED headlights, a front bumper with black rubber bumperettes, and black-finished 15” steel wheels wrapped in with Rydanz Raptor R09 A/T tires with a matching spare mounted to the rear swing-door. The seller reports that the body surfaces remain free of rust, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features front bucket seats and rear benches upholstered in brown vinyl with vertical stitching. The metal surfaces were repainted to match the exterior, and the steering wheel has been re-trimmed to coordinate with the upholstery. A stock-style radio is retained with a Bluetooth retrofit, and factory instrumentation includes a metric speedometer and auxiliary gauges. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.

Power comes from a rebuilt 3.9-liter inline-six equipped with new pistons, rings, a head gasket, and refreshed seals. All four wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, both of which were overhauled during the restoration. The braking system was also completely rebuilt, and the suspension and steering components have been inspected and serviced. The seller notes that the truck cruises comfortably at highway speeds between 55–65 mph, with all major systems recently serviced and functioning properly.

The seller would like you to know: “This car is the embodiment of adventure. It was found while the owner was living abroad in Colombia. He found it in town and met the farmer (seller) hours outside town in the hills that evening to buy it. He restored the truck in Colombia and then drove it a couple of thousand miles while living there. He then imported it to the US upon his return in 2023. The seller states it cruises at 55-65 mph, no problem for on-road adventures. Everything works on this truck, and it's ready to enjoy.”

Also I am a very experienced seller (and buyer) and will happily help hand-hold the new owner through the buying process and help with shopping and registration if needed.
@bakocaddy CT doesn't issue titles for anything over 20 years unless you make a special request.. this can and will be sold on the current CT registration and a BOS.. and title state will know how to handle this. Very common.
Hello,
Do you have a CT title for this beauty?
@Maartenkuik Front and rear
Does it have lap belts only up front?
Good luck to the bidders here in the final few hours. Lets find this truck a new home!

Please let me know if you have any questions on this auction. This car was found in Columbia while the seller was living there. Its was carefully restored and rebuilt with every aspect of the car getting touched. The engine has been fully rebuilt, the transmission and the transfer case were resealed and serviced. This is turn-key way to own a classic FJ43 long body.
@Merlinst2 The driver door probably just wasn't shut fully.. keep in mind this isn't like a modern car with precision fit doors and latches etc... you can just walk over and lift these door off the hinges and take them off. The rear doors operated fine.. no issues with seal of fitment on any of them. If you wanted to adjust them some you could.
Can the seller comment on the driver side door gap? The alignment appears to be way off. Does the door seal keep out wind and rain? There also appears to be a significant misalignment on the passenger side rear barn door near the roof panel. Is it possible to adjust these doors for better alignment?
