This Porsche 914 2.0 was initially purchased from Porsche-Audi North in Wexford Pennsylvania on May 17, 1974. Equipped with the larger 2.0L fuel-injected flat-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, this late-model 914 was specified with a Zambezi Green finish, optional chrome trimmed bumpers, upgraded wheels, and more. Refinished in its distinctive green color over a redone tan vinyl interior, it is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida accompanied by the original bill of sale.
This example has been refinished in its factory-specified shade of Zambezi Green, later introduced as Forest Green, a color that was offered in Porsche’s Paint-to-Sample program. Exterior features include a removable black roof panel, a chrome driver’s side mirror, a black vinyl upholstered roll bar with chrome-plated trim strips, black bumperettes, flip-up headlights, and a single exhaust outlet. The car was additionally optioned with chrome bumpers and upgraded wheels. White Porsche side stripes decorate each side, and the seller notes some scratches on the front right fender. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The redone interior features tan vinyl along the seats, door panels, and optional center armrest, contrasted with a black dashboard. Details include tan carpets, a four-spoke steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, roll-up windows, and a center-mounted cup holder. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly, except the radio.
This 914 is equipped with an air-cooled 2.0L flat-four engine featuring Bosch fuel injection and an output of up to 95 HP, driving the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller states a complete tune-up was performed in 2023 and slight engine oil leaks were noticed after the vehicle sat for a couple of weeks.
This sale will include a clean title, the original bill of sale, owner’s manuals, and additional documentation.
The seller would like you to know: “Fun driver quality Porsche that cruises on highway effortlessly with the 5th gear.”
