Finished in Silver Metallic over a Midnight interior, this Canadian-market 1974 Porsche 911 Coupe is said to have been kept in storage for 38 years before it was purchased by the seller from its original owner in 2018. The car underwent a subsequent multi-year bare-metal rotisserie restoration that was completed in 2024. It was refinished in its original color and features a rebuilt 2.7-liter flat-six engine and 5-speed manual gearbox, overhauled brakes and suspension, Bilstein dampers, hand-polished mechanical components, a protective underbody coating, new interior upholstery, gold-finished door sills, bi-xenon projector headlights, and 15” cookie-cutter alloy wheels. Showing approximately 32k miles on the odometer, this 911 is now being offered for auction out of Alberta, Canada.
During the bare-metal rotisserie restoration, the door skins were replaced and rust repair was performed on the passenger-side rear quarter panel. The exterior was refinished in its original color in 2022 and has been modified with modern bi-xenon projector headlights. Equipment includes bright trim and headlamp rings, a driver’s side mirror, slim RoW-spec bumperettes, a 2.7 decklid grille badge, a polished tailpipe, red-finished brake calipers, and silver 15” cookie cutter alloy wheels mounted with 205/60 Yokohama Radial 388 tires. The seller notes the underbody and wheel wells are coated with a protective bedliner material and the suspension components, steering rack, and drivetrain cases have been hand-polished.
The cabin was stripped and protected with a bedliner coating before being redone with new black carpets and Midnight leatherette upholstery covering the seats and door panels. Accessories include a black leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, hand-crank windows, a heater, gold-finished door sill plates, analog VDO instrumentation, and a retro-style Bluetooth stereo.
Rated at 143 HP and 168 lb.-ft of torque, the air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six engine features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. The engine has been rebuilt, hand-polished, and fitted with cadmium-plated hardware, a bronze-finished airbox cover, and SSI heat exchangers. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transaxle that has also been rebuilt and polished. The brakes and suspension were overhauled including the installation of new Bilstein dampers. Images of the restoration process are provided in the gallery. The seller adds that the car is not equipped with a catalytic converter and may not meet emissions standards in some areas.
This sale will include an owner’s manual, restoration documents, a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, and a registration.
