The final iteration of Jaguar’s most iconic sports car, the E-Type or XKE Series III was introduced in 1971 featuring a new 5.3-liter V12 engine with quad carburetors. This 1974 example is a final-year XKE Roadster finished in red over a tan leather interior and equipped with a desirable 4-speed manual transmission. Previously restored, this Jaguar is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The Series III XKE is distinguished by its longer wheelbase, larger cross-slatted front grille, quadruple exhaust tips, and flared wheel arches. This Roadster has been refinished in red and is equipped with a black convertible soft top, chrome bumpers, black bumperettes, a polished driver’s side mirror, hood louvers, and chrome 15” wire spoke wheels with knock-off spinners.
The cabin features tan leather bucket seats with matching door panels and carpeting complemented by a black leather dashboard and three-spoke steering wheel. Accessories include polished window cranks, a wood gear knob, a center console armrest, headrests, lap belts, a heater, and analog Smiths instrumentation.
The 5.3-liter V12 engine is equipped with quadruple SU carburetors and sends up 241 HP and 285 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller indicates a mechanical restoration has been completed.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a clean title.

@mayart I've moved a car enclosed from PA to CA for $3K "door to door" (ended up being curbside to nearest freeway off-ramp.)
Then expect $3K (very round number) to get it registered and running in CA. (no smog for '75 and older.)
The challenge is knowing what's up in the V12 and having someone who can keep it healthy.
The joke about V12s in a Jag or a BMW or anything is "think of the worst number you can imagine, then multiply it be twelve."
All that said, this one is going for a bargain. : )
