The result of a six-year project that began in 2017, this 1974 BMW 2002tii has been refinished in Polaris Metallic and features a fuel-injected 2.0-liter M10 inline-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The braking system was overhauled along with the suspension which includes H&R springs, Bilstein dampers, and ST sway bars. The exterior has been modified with a custom fiberglass front spoiler and rear bumper, and the cabin features E30-sourced bucket seats reupholstered with Gobi Tan vinyl and patterned cloth inserts. Other highlights include an ANSA exhaust system, black-finished 14” steel wheels, upgraded front calipers, Brembo rotors, refinished subframes, a three-spoke wood-trimmed steering wheel, an upgraded sound system, and cabin sound insulation. Purchased by the seller in 2023, this tastefully modified BMW 2002tii is now being offered for auction out of Virginia.
The exterior was refinished in Polaris Metallic (050) under previous ownership after receiving some body repair work, new floor pans, and replacement fenders. The custom fiberglass front spoiler and rear bumper were installed by a previous owner and refinished after the seller’s purchase in 2023. Equipment includes pop-out vent windows, a sunroof, square taillights, bright window surrounds and body moldings, a driver’s side mirror, an external fuel cap, dual center-mounted tailpipes, and black-finished 14” steel wheels dressed in Falken Azenis tires. The interior has been fitted with E30-sourced manually adjustable front bucket seats reupholstered in Gobi Tan vinyl with patterned cloth inserts and matching headrests. The carpeting was replaced after the cabin was lined with sound insulation, the pedal box was refurbished, and the rear bench seat was removed. Accessories include an aftermarket three-spoke wood steering wheel, a woodgrain instrument panel, hand-crank windows, an analog dashboard clock, a BMW-branded wood shift knob, and a Pioneer head unit paired with an amplifier and MB Quart speakers.
Equipped with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection, the 2.0-liter M10 inline-four engine was originally rated at 125 HP and 127 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission. An aftermarket ANSA exhaust system has been installed and the engine was serviced under previous ownership with new high-pressure fuel lines, belts, hoses, spark plugs, ignition wires, a new battery, cooling fan, and fuel injector cleaning. The clutch assembly and shift linkage were replaced, and the subframes were refinished and reinstalled with replacement mounts. The braking system has been overhauled with a new handbrake cable, brake lines, rebuilt rear drums, upgraded front calipers, and Brembo rotors with new pads. The suspension has also been refurbished and modified with H&R lowering springs, Bilstein dampers, and ST sway bars.

There is no rust that I am aware of. the car has been gone through pretty comprehensively by the prior restoring owner and us. It is a fun car.

Hello, what kind of shape is the under carriage in? I can't tell if that is a newly applied layer of paint/application underneath or if it has been there for awhile. Any rust on this vehicle?
