A key model in the evolution of the BMW 02 series, the 2002tii was introduced in 1971, featuring Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection, which significantly enhanced both performance and reliability. This 1974 example is showcased in its original Fjord Blue Metallic color with a Blue vinyl interior and features several tasteful period modifications including European-style bumpers, 13” Cromodora wheels, Hella fog lamps, and an Ansa sport exhaust. Purchased by the seller on PCARMARKET in 2020, this 2002tii is now being offered for auction out of New York.
The 2002tii was professionally refinished in its original Fjord Blue Metallic color in 2017. Equipment includes chrome brightwork, European-style bumpers, Hella fog lamps, and 13” Cromodora wheels with BMW center caps and Pirelli P400 tires. Images depicting the exterior condition are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the car features Blue vinyl upholstery with matching carpets, a black dashboard, and a woodgrain instrument panel. Other interior details include a re-dyed 3-spoke steering wheel, a replacement shift boot, and an upgraded RetroSound USB stereo system with Polk door speakers. The analog clock is currently inoperable.
A 2.0-liter M10 inline 4-cylinder engine supplies power with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. Up to 130 HP is delivered to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox. In 2019, the engine was removed for service, which included machining the head, a new front timing cover gasket, oil pan gasket, front crank seal, rear main seal, head gasket, transmission mounts, a distributor cap/rotor, spark plugs, and ignition wires.
The sale includes a clean title.

Good Morning Bidders
I’ve owned this beautiful BMW for the past almost 4 years. It was a childhood “dream car” that I was finally able to purchase.
At this point I’m ready to part with it for someone else to enjoy. Needless to say, I will be here to answer any questions.
Good luck to all bidders!

Longest auction I’ve ever seen at 98 days!
Nice car … I’ll set a reminder for just after the presidential election!
So this auction is not over until after Thanksgiving? Am I reading that correctly?
