The Volkswagen Beetle, which has been in production for more than 60 years, is arguably the most widely recognized car in history and has left its mark on both the automotive industry and popular culture. This 1973 example comes finished in yellow over a white interior and recently underwent a comprehensive restoration. It features an air-cooled 1,600cc dual-port engine paired with a 3-speed Autostick transmission, front disc brakes, EMPI Sprintstar wheels, an upgraded steering wheel, and much more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This Beetle is said to have undergone a comprehensive restoration including a full respray in its current shade of yellow with a white side stripe. Details include a Vintage Speed roof rack, headlight covers, undercarriage lights, Hella fog lights, chrome rain guards, Volkswagen branded mudflaps, chrome front and rear bumpers with over-ridders, dual exhaust outlets, running boards, and a set of 15” EMPI Sprintstar VW Type 1 Classic Beetle wheels (5x205) in black with polished lips. These wheels come dressed in Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires. Additional images can be found in the gallery.
Inside, the seats are upholstered in white vinyl with a matching headliner and door panels. Amenities include a banjo-style steering wheel, an under-dash parcel shelf, a center console, a fire extinguisher, roll-up windows, floor mats, and a custom sound system with a Sony head unit and Kicker speakers. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories are functional.
Power comes from an air-cooled dual-port 1,600cc engine which drives the rear wheels by way of a rare 3-speed semi-auto Autostick transmission. The suspension has been lowered with an EMPI narrow dropped front axle beam and the brakes have been upgraded with front discs. A new fuel tank is said to have been installed and the seller states there are no outstanding service items at this time.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "This is a high-level restoration on a VW Beetle. Over the top, and the doors close like a Porsche!"

@Jennyfx35 Zero repairs are needed.
We picked up the car for the underside shots and didn't notice any sort of seepage or perspiration of any fluids. Engine has about 200-300 miles on it since it was rebuilt and put into the car.
Any repairs needed? Does it leak any oil?

@Efariab Thank you for the kind words. The engine was fully rebuilt with about 200-300 miles on it.
The Clutch has not been rebuilt to our knowledge but shifts and operates as it was. No grinding or slippage going into any gear.
This Beetle is ready to be enjoyed and driven anywhere.

@ASGMiami
Nice looking beetle with a rare "Autostick" transmission ! Just wondering what is the transmission condition, gears, clutch (any (slippage of the clutch) function, any gear oil leak and how available the parts are for this rare and special transmission ??
Also, in what condition the engine is, any previous rebuilt or repairs on the engine and the Autostick transmission ?
Welcome and good luck to all interested parties.
