Up for auction is this modified 1973 Porsche 911 T Targa finished in Viper Green over a custom beige interior. Purchased by the seller as a stock 1973 example, this Targa was gradually upgraded with performance modifications before receiving a newly assembled 3.3 L turbocharged engine mated to a 930 transmission in 2015. With approximately 1k miles driven since the installation of the new drivetrain, this turbocharged 911 Targa is now being offered for auction in great running order with an extensive collection of extras including the original transmission, Fuchs wheels and its very own trailer.
This Targa is finished in its factory specified color of Viper Green with added removable graphics. The paint is noted to be in good condition and the seller indicates that the rear window is currently uninstalled (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Exterior modifications include a Turbo tea tray rear spoiler, a lightweight fiberglass rear bumper and a steel S-type pan under the front bumper. The Targa top is said to be in good shape and all four fender flares have been cut in order to accommodate the 12”x17” Bogart wheels which come dressed in A7 Hoosier tires. The original set of Fuchs wheels will also be included wrapped in a set of Hoosier tires.
Inside, the beige interior has been modified with an aftermarket roll bar, Corbeau racing seats with 5-point harnesses and an upgraded MOMO steering wheel. The side door pockets have been removed, although the original dashboard has been retained. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly aside from the speedometer.
After driving the car for many years with varying engine configurations, the seller opted to install a newly built 3.3 L turbocharged flat-six engine in 2015. The 915 5-speed manual transmission was then swapped out in favor of a more robust 4-speed transmission derived from a 930 in order to accommodate the added power. The transmission was custom built with close-ratio gears and a Wavetrack limited slip differential for improved launch and acceleration. Other performance modifications have also been installed including:
With approximately 1k miles driven since this installation of the new engine, this 911 is said to be in fantastic running order and the seller confirms that an oil change will be carried out upon sale.
The sale of this Targa will include one key, the original books and service booklet, service records, a trailer and a vast collection of spare parts including the original 915 transmission, the original engine (in pieces) and virtually every other factory component excluding the seats. For an avid air cooled Porsche enthusiast looking to get out on the track, this turbocharged 911 Targa offers the perfect opportunity.

@JPD Here's a link to a bunch of photos of the car and all the work I did on it. I did all the engine, transmission, and car work. I made my own fuel injector holders out of phenolic material. I made the mounts for the coil near plug LS coils.
The rear window is undamaged. The title is clear.
There is a picture of the car on the trailer in all those photos. I trailered it on that trailer for over 20 years. The trailer has a rubber spring axle.

Hi all,
Here's my long time autocross car. I've been autocrossing this car for over 20 years with 6 club championships. It was a mid-field finisher at the Solo Nationals only because the driver wasn't up to snuff.
This car is a hoot to drive. It'll test your driving ability in a 911. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be happy to tell you whatever you want to know.
