Up for auction is this unique 1973 Porsche 911 T Coupe finished in Blue Metallic over a black interior. While early “Long hood 911” models hold a special place in Porsche history, this 1973 example is no exception. It was purchased by the previous owner in 1977 and is said to have been looked over and serviced by Stoddard Porsche on a regular basis. Featuring a desirable 220HP sand-cast 2.0 L engine case upgrade, this 911 T is sure to impress any enthusiast who gets behind the wheel. It is now being offered out if Ohio with 67k miles showing on the odometer.
This 911 T is said to have been professionally refinished in its original color of Blue Metallic many years ago. As the photos show, the car remains in excellent cosmetic condition with only a few noted flaws. This example rides on a set of black 15" Fuchs wheels that come wrapped in Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires dated from 2011.
Inside, you will find a black leatherette interior that is said to be in excellent condition with only a few blemishes on the headliner which are noted in the photo gallery. This cabin features an AM/FM radio along with pop-out rear windows and fully functioning electronics and gauges. It is clear that this car was well-cared for throughout its life.
The heart of this 911 T is a coveted early-1967 sand-cast 2.0 L engine. This power-plant has been built with upgraded 2.7 L pistons and jugs along with Weber carburetors. Add in the factory 5-speed manual transmission and you have a visceral driving experience that is sure to be enjoyed.
