This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible came factory-finished in Orange over a black vinyl interior and equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission. The original 350ci L42 V8 engine has been replaced with an upgraded L82 version that was rebuilt three years ago including 202 heads, a street cam, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an MSD distributor, and a Flowmaster exhaust kit. The car has also been refurbished with a new rear suspension and a black canvas convertible top. Having been kept in a climate-controlled warehouse as part of a private muscle car collection over the past several years, this C3 Corvette is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This Stingray Convertible was previously refinished in its factory color of Orange (980). It features a replacement black canvas convertible top, pop-up headlamps, vented fenders with Stingray badges, dual mirrors, polished rocker moldings, split chrome rear bumpers, dual square chrome exhaust tips, and polished 15” Rally wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The seller describes the paint to be in very good overall condition apart from some cracks behind the license plate holder. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features black vinyl upholstery with matching carpets and woodgrain trim. Accessories include manually adjustable bucket seats, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, a polished reverse lockout shift knob, center stack auxiliary gauges, air conditioning, and a vintage AM/FM stereo. The seller notes sun fading on some of the plastic parts.
Power comes from a replacement 350ci L82 V8 engine that was reportedly rebuilt about three years ago and upgraded with 202 heads, a street cam, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an MSD distributor, and a Flowmaster exhaust kit. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller adds that the rear suspension has been overhauled and fitted with new bushings.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car has been stored in a climate-controlled warehouse for several years now - and only taken for very short drives around the industrial park once a week over the years. Anything that needed to be replaced was replaced immediately; the seller took fantastic care of this car.”
