Finished in Malaga over black leatherette upholstery, this righthand drive 1973 BMW 2002tii is equipped with a fuel-injected 2.0-liter M10 inline-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was refurbished before being imported to the U.S. from the U.K. in 2017. It has been refinished in its original color and features lowering springs with Bilstein shocks, front and rear anti-roll bars, power-assisted front disc brakes, a BMW E21 steering wheel, a cabin heater, Euro-spec bumpers, and 13” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps. The car was purchased by the current owner in 2024 and serviced with new grey carpeting, a new battery, a fuel injection pump belt, ignition and brake components, window and trunk seals, tires, a driveshaft center support, and resealing the fuel tank. This righthand drive BMW 2002tii is now being offered for auction out of South Carolina accompanied by services records and a collection of parts.
This BMW was refinished in its original color of Malaga (021) under prior ownership in 2014. It features chrome European-spec bumpers, chrome trim, dual mirrors, vent windows, and silver 13” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps. Under current ownership, the car was refurbished with new trunk and vent window seals, a replacement right-rear quarter window, and new 185/70 Vee Rubber City Star-V2 tires.
The cabin was lined with new grey carpeting under current ownership and features reclining front bucket seats trimmed in black leatherette upholstery with textured center inserts. Accessories include a three-spoke BMW E21 steering wheel heater, a rear window defroster, a Lucas Audio cassette stereo, and a MotoMeter dashboard clock. The seller notes separated seams on the front seat upholstery and a crack on the dashboard.
Equipped with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection, the European-spec 2.0-liter M10 inline-four engine was factory-rated at 130 HP and 133 lb.-ft of torque. It delivers power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission that was paired with a new clutch in 2016. The suspension features factory front and rear anti-roll bars and has been modified with lowering springs and Bilstein shocks. Under current ownership, the battery, ignition condenser, spark plugs, ignition wires, fuse box cover, intake boot, hood pad, and fuel injection pump belt were replaced. The driveshaft center support was replaced along with the brake fluid reservoir, booster line, and check valve. The coolant was flushed, and the fuel tank was refurbished and resealed.
This sale will include spare and original parts, service records, and a clean title.

I have seen this car in person and recently drove it. The car is in quite good condition and will not disapoint. Started cold and drove very well.
@Fosterbeagle Yes looks like there was rust repair work done. It was not done in my ownership but to me it looks like the area of rust was resolved and fixed. Looks to be a solid repair.
I need to know more about photos 162 and 163. Looks like a very nice example otherwise.

Photo 137 shows the spare tire removed and the area's condition.
Greetings,
Many Thanks for under-carriage photo locations.
After review/s, the two photos, 162 & 163 show past metal work and weldment
as well as missing inner fender part/s.
Could you elaborate with additional details about how extensive and/or severe rust work
had to be done . . .
We also like to have the missing photo when the spare tire is out of the spare well, showing that
area's condition, looking down from the trunk side . . The under-carriage photo does show rust exist.
Many Thanks in advance,
