Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro during his tenure at Bertone, the GTV 2000 represents the final evolution of Alfa Romeo’s beloved 105-series coupes, featuring refined styling and an uprated twin-cam engine. This 1973 example was acquired by the current owner in 2021 and underwent a refurbishment in 2023, which included the installation of dual side-draft carburetors, mechanical servicing, paint correction, and interior re-trim. Powered by a 1,962cc inline-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, it is finished in red over a black interior. Additional features include 14” Turbina alloy wheels, a wood-rimmed Personal steering wheel, Jaegar instrumentation, an aftermarket stereo, and more. This GTV is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

This example is finished in red and comes equipped with chrome wrap-around bumpers with overriders, a driver’s side door mirror, chrome windscreen surround, amber fog lamp lenses, biscione C-pillar badges, vent windows, an Alfa Serpent badge behind its rear quarter pop-out windows, and a single downturned exhaust outlet. It rides on 14″ Campagnolo Turbina alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Radial tires from 2019. The seller notes a paint correction was performed under current ownership, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin offers front bucket seats and contoured rear 2+2 seats reupholstered in black vinyl, complemented by matching door panels and wood trim on the dashboard and center console. Amenities include a heater, a three-spoke wood-rimmed Personal steering wheel, shoulder belts, manual windows, pop-out pivoting rear side windows, a lockable glovebox, and an aftermarket stereo. The seller notes that the ignition switch and Jaeger instrumentation have been repaired.

Power comes from a 1,962cc twin-cam inline-four engine featuring SPICA fuel injection and dual side-draft carburetors, which delivers a factory-rated 130 HP and 153 lb.-ft of torque to rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A 2023 mechanical overhaul performed by Taormina Imports in Redwood City, California, totaled over $40k and included a fuel pump repair, valve cover gasket replacement, and installation of a new battery, spark plugs, engine mounts, and parking brake. Factory equipment includes an independent double-wishbone front suspension, a live rear axle with lower trailing arms, a reaction trunnion, and four-wheel disc brakes.

This sale will include a composite workshop manual, partial service records, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: "We've invested over $40k in recent repairs and restoration has been performed. This example has only driven 1000 miles or less since complete restoration."
