Up for auction is this IROC-style 1972 Porsche 911T Coupe finished in blue with removable racing decals. This 911T is said to have been modified for Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) in the 2000s and most recently competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona Classic and Weathertech International Challenge with Brian Redman by Hawk races in 2019. It has been fitted with a rebuilt twin-plug 3.0L flat-six with PMO triple-throat carburetors, a 5-speed 915 manual transmission, limited-slip differential, widened fiberglass bodywork, a racing fuel cell, adjustable coilover suspension, Bremtek Racing brake calipers, and a lightweight interior with full racing safety equipment. Outfitted for vintage motorsports, this 911T is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee.
This 911 has been fitted with IROC-style fiberglass bodywork including wide fenders, a hood, front air dam, vented rear bumper cover, and whale tail rear spoiler. Other exterior equipment includes aerodynamic mirrors, polycarbonate windows, front and rear tow hooks, hood latch pins, and a passenger-side amber tail light corner. The seller notes the front bumper, hood, and left-front fender are cracked. Detailed images are provided in the gallery. This 911 rides on 16” multi-piece wheels mounted with Hoosier R7 competition tires.
The interior has been completely stripped and prepped for racing with a multi-point roll cage, a Traqmate GPS data acquisition system, fabric door pulls, a WEVO shifter, a fire-suppression system with a floor-mounted bottle, and a single Kirkey Racing seat mounted with Sparco sliders and equipped with a Schroth racing harness. A custom panel fitted to the right of the steering column houses switches for the ignition, instrument screen, fuel pump, and starter. The seller reports the safety system will need to be re-certified for track use.
This 911T is powered by a twin-plug 3.0L flat-six engine which is said to have been sourced from a 1980 911SC. The engine was rebuilt in 2016 and fitted with Pauter connecting rods, Xtreme cylinder heads, JE pistons, new camshafts, cylinders, head studs, rod bearings, spark plugs, gaskets, and seals. Additional engine modifications include solid engine and transmission mounts, a racing fuel cell located in the front trunk, and tubular headers linked to megaphone-style outlets. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The suspension includes height-adjustable coilovers with Eibach springs as well as adjustable sway bars and front camber plates. The brakes feature Bremtek Racing calipers, custom cooling ducts, and adjustable bias control for the driver.
This sale will include a bill of sale and service records.

New photo and video content has been added to the listing page.
Just submitted the engine receipts. I apologize, thought those were in the listing. Thanks again!
@eurocol I have submitted some videos of the car on the track. Should be uploaded shortly.
I apologize, I am in Amelia Island For the concours and have been away from the shop this week. I have to arrange for the compression numbers to be taken when I get back. Engine was built in 2016 by Kevin Wheeler at KMW. Specs are in the description however I do not know exact horsepower, cam specs, etc. I have a receipt for the engine build, thought that was in the gallery. Vin plate photo has been submitted. Thanks again for the questions!
Interesting car,
weird that the guttering is drilled, no real weight saving there and it weakens the integrity of the shell....
anyway,
do you have any videos of the car driving and the engine running??
It would be very helpful to know the actual engine specification,
by whom it was and when.
Any receipts for the work that was stated as being done?
Can you please post a picture of the stamped vin number,
what about those compression and leak down figures,
as requested 3 days ago??
many thanks,
regards,
JP
@BrainSrgn listed events and estimated hours were given to me by my client/friend and the owner of this car. I apologize for lack of log books. It’s a racecar and has been enjoyed. Looking for a new home. Nothing to hide here. I have watched this car at Road America and other events. It was managed by a reputable company. Wish I had the logs and a dyno sheet but it is no longer with the car. Like many of the cars I get in, documentation gets lost and misplaced. If not comfortable without logs I would pass on the car. I am still trying to track them down. If there are specific details from the logs that you are looking for, please let me know and I can try to get an answer. Thanks! Miles
@Miles.S No logs, no dyno sheet , what about documentation of participation in said “Vintage Racing” events?
Thank you

Mitty for 2017 and 2019- 6 hours total.
Daytona 2017 and 2019- 10 hours total.

Hi All,
Checking in as seller here. Great racer very much ready for some fun. Engine has 25 hours on the rebuild. Not sure exact hours on the transmission but they are more than the engine.
Do not offer financing unfortunately but willing to work with your bank and provide them with whatever they may need. The car is available for inspection in Knoxville TN. Please let me know if any questions or concerns. Shipping is available worldwide. Thanks!
