We are pleased to present this stunning 1972 Porsche 911 T MFI Coupe finished in factory original Albert Blue. Being the beneficiary of recent extensive work including a complete factory-spec engine re-build, this 911 T not only looks the part, but offers a world-class driving experience. This long-nose 911 shows approximately 71k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction in turn-key condition.
This 911 T was acquired three years ago by the seller in solid, driver-grade condition. Although the car was painted in Guards Red, a detailed inspection revealed the original color to be Albert Blue. As a result of these findings, the current owner smartly commissioned a glass-out respray in its rare and original color. The paint is described to be in excellent condition with a deep and clear luster. The seller is proud to note that this 911 T received many compliments at various PCA events and Porsche meets he had attended during his ownership. To help preserve the paint, partial paint protection film was installed on the hood and the adjacent areas near the headlamps. The brightwork and trim are all said to be in excellent condition with only minor signs of age. This 911 rides on its original wheels that are wearing a brand-new set of Kumho tires.
During the restoration, great care was spent in keeping the interior as original and correct as possible. The original gauges are still in the car and in perfect working order. The seats where recovered using the correct German fabric and pair beautifully with the original door panels. New carpeting and a new headliner were installed to keep with the original but fresh look and feel. Period correct wood dash trim was installed along with a Becker Bluetooth radio which are welcome upgrades.
Upon his purchase of the 911, the original engine was not running and it was discovered that the case was compromised. In the spirit of bringing this car to the high level it is today, he commissioned a complete rebuild of the 2.4L MFI motor. For obvious reasons, a period correct case was sourced for the build (the original case will be included with the sale). The rebuild consisted of a case replacement, configuration of all wearing items, and updating the timing chain assemblies for added peace of mind. All alloy components were tumbled and cleaned as well as all steel components were either powder coated or plated which helped to achieve the beautiful engine bay that you see in the gallery photos. In addition, the fuel pump, alternator, and starter were all replaced. Records of the work will be included with the sale.
The sale of this one-of-a kind 911 will include 2 keys, a clear title, copy of Porsche C of A, and records of the work performed. Accompanied by a clear title, this classic long-nose 911 is just waiting to be enjoyed by a new owner.

@ninalevine hello. It was minor damage caused by a hook when being towed at some point and is not a rust spot. Not structural and easily can be fixed if desired. The car is extremely solid and will not disappoint the future buyer.
Regarding image 112: Looks like some more metal work is needed.

@dsdill hi, I will check and see if I have a compressor, believe I do. I could be wrong, but I am under the strong impression that these are the original wheels that came from the factory, perhaps you are mistaken?

A lovely restoration. A space saver (deflated) spare tire is displayed in the trunk. Is there a 12 volt compressor with the car to inflate the spare tire? Besides the 14"x 5.5" Fuchs, do the original 15"x 5.5" steel wheels come with the car? Can you describe the corrosion observed in image #112?
Thank you.

@Prancinghorse the mileage was believed to be original when the car was purchased. There isn’t any documentation to support it, however, the vehicle is basically restored and the engine had less than 1k miles on it.
is the mileage documented and original
