If you admire the 1973 Carrera RS and are among those who consider it to be one of the pinnacle achievements in automotive engineering, you may consider this for purchase. Offered for auction is this true to original Carrera RS 2.7 recreation.
Starting life as a 1972 F-body coupe, this build has the heart and soul of a true long-hood 911 while delivering a fit and finish that is second to none. Featuring a genuine fully-rebuilt 2.7L MFI engine along with a show-quality Viper green exterior finish, it is clear that this is not your average build. Only 2k miles have been driven since its $155k build commission.
In 2017, 911 Cars, based of out the United Kingdom would go on to create something extraordinary. Starting with a period-correct 1972 911 body, this car was completely stripped down to bare metal before being both dipped and e-coated. It was then fitted with an extensive amount of authentic high-quality RS upgrades including rear welded fender flares, an upgraded front valance, H4 headlights, and an RS ducktail spoiler that was sourced from a Yellow Carrera RS. Virtually every aspect of this vehicle’s exterior was refinished or replaced with OEM parts including all chrome moldings, rubber seals, light bulbs, glasswork, wipers, bumper moldings, and more. Leaving no stone unturned, an original and fully-restored set of 15” RS 2.7 Fuchs alloy wheels have been installed that wear Avon CR6-ZZ radials measuring 185/70 in the front and 215/60 in the rear.
This RS showcases a black leather interior that has been restored to perfection. Authentic Recaro sport seats have been installed along with matching RS-style door panels, carpeting, VDO gauges, and a 2.7 RS steering wheel. All electronics are said to be in excellent working order including the period-correct Blaupunkt radio.
A true RS recreation through and through, this 911 features a correct 2.7L flat-six MFI engine that was completely rebuilt in 2017. As per the documentation provided in the photo gallery, this engine has been equipped with an extensive amount of RS parts including a fully restored set of cylinder heads, cams, MFI pump, Mahle pistons, throttle bodies, crankshaft and distributor. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a rebuilt 915 5-speed transmission that features RS gear ratios, new synchros, a Sachs clutch and much more. The vehicle's entire suspension and braking system have also been rebuilt with new shocks, torsion bars, anti-roll bars, rotors and pads, and a new master cylinder.
The sale of this RS includes two keys, factory books, and a 100+ page PDF highlighting extensive service records and build documentation. This is an exceedingly rare opportunity to own a concourse recreation of one of the most legendary Porsches of all time.

@mrm930 It I a custom-profiled 3 dimensional cam for the engine displacement. The engine is about2.8-2.9L, car is fast - held up with 911R and Singer at the Smokies GT rally in the mountains last year.
Thanks to pcar for providing a place for owners to buy & sell. This may be a good time to liquidate toys!
Is the mechanical fuel pump an original RS pump? If not, what did you go with? thanks

I was at the Amelia Island Werks Reunion on Friday and stopped by the Pcarmarket display. I had the opportunity to see and inspect this car. It was clear that the builders took great care in building this car to true RS specifications. The viper green paint was really nice. They had a book of the restoration in the front seat that I scanned through. The photos did show in great detail the effort taken from media blasting to completion. Most people looking had no clue it was a recreation. I even heard some debating between a few guy whether it was a genuine RS. Whoever gets this Porsche will own something special.

@PORSCHE1 @jd-gt350 absolutely happy to. The first 30 or so photos were taken within the last few months and represent the car as it sits today. The photos following those first 30 or so, show the car during the restoration stripped down to metal, all the pieces removed, engine etc. The car comes with a complete photograph book documenting the car and about 195 pages of the build and the records. I have those in a PDF and happy to share with anyone via email. We sent the car down to Weeks Reunion for Pcar Market to display it in their booth so hopefully many PCar viewers can speak to seeing the car in person. Thanks!

It appears that the restoration was done about 2006. Could you advise as to how many of the provide photos are current and show the condition today?
Thanks
Jim
