Introduced as a successor to Mercedes-Benz’s W113 “Pagoda” SL, the 350SL, a part of the R107 series, offers refined interior features and advanced mechanical engineering for its era. Powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, this 1972 example is finished in Horizon Blue over a black leather interior. This 350SL is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with approximately 70k miles showing on the odometer.
This example is finished in Horizon Blue and features a navy blue folding soft top, a body-color removable hardtop, slim chrome bumpers with overriders, twin round headlamps, fog lights, and polished aluminum trim. The interior is appointed with bucket seats upholstered in black leather upholstery, complemented by matching door panels and dashboard trim. Amenities include power windows, air conditioning, black floor mats, and a Becker Europa AM/FM radio. The seller reports wear on the driver-side carpet, a soft top fabric that needs replacement, a non-functional center clock, and a functional air conditioning system that does not blow cold air. All other gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.
Power comes from a 4.5-liter M117 V8 engine equipped with Bosch D-Jetronic electronic fuel injection, which delivers a factory-rated 180 HP to rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission. It has an independent double-wishbone suspension with coil springs and anti-roll bars up front and a semi-trailing arm setup in the rear, while power-assisted disc brakes facilitate stopping power at all four corners. During previous ownership, the car received a comprehensive service, which included refreshing the fuel injection system, installing a new fuel pump with updated hoses and filters, and draining and flushing the fuel tank.

@spartansix Good morning, maybe not the best phrasing but the system on the car is blowing air when turned on, the switch works, and the system seems to be operational but just not blowing cold.
We explain this because its usually a lot simpler and cheaper to fix an AC system that's operational than a one that its not. We hope this helps
