Imported to the United States from Belize under prior ownership, this 1972 Land Rover 109 Series III was restored by North American Overland including an overhaul of the 2.25-liter inline-four engine and 4-speed manual gearbox. It was refinished in tan and features a refurbished interior, Old Man Emu suspension, front disc brakes, an overhauled dual-range transfer case, LED headlights, power steering, a winch, inward-facing rear seats, a hood-mounted spare, sliding windows, and more. Purchased by the current owner in 2024, this restored Land Rover 109 pickup is now being offered for auction out of Arizona.
This Land Rover was refinished in tan during the restoration along with galvanized metalwork and replacements of the door shells, glass, latches, rockers, front bumper, windshield, grille, tailgate, and weatherstripping. A new double-skinned canvas bed cover was installed along with aftermarket LED headlights, a hitch, tow shackles, a winch, mud flaps, and body-colored 16” steel wheels. The truck rides on 235/85 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar tires and features a full-size spare wheel mounted on the hood. Images from the restoration process are provided in the gallery along with a comprehensive list of the work that was performed.
The cabin features replacement three-across black vinyl seats and a replacement black dashboard with an integrated storage shelf. Accessories include a black three-spoke steering wheel, a center console cup holder, sliding windows, pocketed door panels, and black rubber floor mats. The bed is lined with a black rubber mat and features inward-facing seats, a shovel, an axe, a jack, and a utility box.
Power comes from a replacement 2.25-liter inline-four engine which was overhauled during the restoration with a new Weber carburetor, alternator, water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, ignition coil, spark plugs, wires, engine mounts, starter solenoid, wiring harness, fuse box, battery, and exhaust system. The fuel tank, tank bushings, fuel pump, and fuel lines were also replaced. Power is sent to all four wheels through a refurbished 4-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. The flywheel was resurfaced and the clutch was replaced along with the driveshafts and transmission mounts. Other restoration items include power steering, front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, an electric fan, drivetrain skid plates, and Old Man Emu suspension with parabolic springs.
This sale will include a clean title.
