Available for auction is this 1972 Datsun 240Z finished in Lime (112) over a black vinyl interior. This example was originally delivered to Datsun of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and was acquired by the seller in 2021. It comes equipped with a 280Z-sourced 2.8L L28 inline 6-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, and has been upgraded with a Wilwood brake kit, Techno Toy Tuning coilovers, a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
In 2021 this 240Z was refinished in Lime (112) after receiving repairs to the rear quarter panels, front fenders, upper hatch panel, frame rails, and floor pans. The seller reports a crack in the left headlight scoop and imperfections in the rear window seals; both have been depicted and can be seen in the gallery. Details include Koito headlights, a European-style rear bumper, a Z432-style muffler with vertically stacked outlets, and 14″ Panasport wheels dressed in a set of Kumho Solos tires from 2021.
The cabin is appointed with black vinyl trimmed bucket seats along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. The seats were reupholstered under current ownership and a new shift boot was installed. Details include a wood-rimmed steering wheel, wooden shift knob, hand-crank side windows, a rear defroster, a lockable glove box, a center console, and a heater. The seller reports the analog clock is currently not functioning and that the dashboard has been covered by a plastic cap.
Power comes from an L28 2.8L inline 6-cylinder engine sourced from a later 280Z model. The engine has been fitted with a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, a Petronix ignition system, a Z432-style muffler, Flowmaster resonator, and a K&N air filter. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transmission. The brakes have been upgraded with a Wilwood front brake kit and finned aluminum drums in the rear, while the suspension consists of Techno Toy Tuning adjustable coilovers, upgraded lower control arms, front tension control rods, and Prothane bushings. Recent service includes a transmission fluid flush, new shifter bushings, spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel pump, and washer fluid reservoir. The washer fluid pump and a washer fluid nozzle are missing, and engine compression readings are available for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title.

Can you provide more detail and pictures of the drivers side frame rail in picture 174. Also passenger side. Gap in the metal dog leg to bottom rail connection shown on drivers side that needs to be addressed.
Also more detail at the rear floor weld joints around the were the rear hatch storage compartments come down before the rear differential
Nice driver car…appreciate the other upgrades

Any chance you can go back and take more pictures of the concrete plant? My former industry and I can’t help but look at it.
